Elmer Fudd
Ordered a current-model 1/25 car kit from an eBay Seller with over 50,000 feedbacks and presumably a brick & mortar store. Shipping was Free. It arrived today, not in a shipping box but in a bubble envelope, shipped First Class. The box was slightly crushed but no more than i see others come through after they were packed to withstand an atom bomb test. At least it was replaceable if it had been punted around before it got here. It's probably cheaper for him to replace damaged product than to pay double for Priority Mail with $50 free insurance. Rant over !
doorsovdoon
Be careful of ebayers with very high feedback. A lot of these accounts are bought for big bucks from 'once' reputable sellers, including what's left of their stock. They're bought for the high feedback to convince you they are legit sellers. Easiest way to find out is go to their feedback page and see if they have tons of recent negative feedback. Usually you get something in the post that's completely different to what you bought or the item is slightly broken. The seller offers half refund and bull**its you with the cost of posting it back when you complain. Never accept it cos that's how they make their money, always ask for full refund and don't let them draw the dispute out over weeks hoping the dispute action expires. Tom Geiger
The bubble mailer is the MO of Amazon Fulfillment Services. Some big sellers are on both eBay and Amazon and use the service for both. Look at where the vendor is located and where the package came from
