Nice touch with the rolled down window. Thanks guys! I can’t explain it, but I hate totally closed off interiors on models so I opened the window 👍👍

Aside from a very tough time joining the body to the chassis, and a lot of bodywork to prep due to mold lines and sink holes, everything else went well. Tamiya silver leaf was used along with Tamiya red for interior, with semi gloss over that. I cut the drivers side door glass out to simulate the window rolled down. Used Ken’s Fuzzy Fur for carpeting. It has minor flaws here and there but I’m happy. Thanks for looking and as always, comments welcome. 👍👍 I built one of these several years ago and later tried to separate the body from the chassis. No go on that. Lol I tried a test fitting before any paint work was done, and it took forever to separate them, that’s when I knew that the final assembly would truly be the final assembly 😂😂
89AKurt
I've built this, and can attest to the lousy fit of the body on chassis, and no clearance for the accessory pulleys. Too bad Tamiya didn't include the intercoolers and complete plumbing. Great job on the silver paint. I could nit-pick one detail, but if it's to be considered 100% Box Stock, no worries. beeRS
What a beauty! The Tamiya silver leaf looks superb. The metallic flake appears to be perfectly to scale. Looks fantastic. Did you have to clear coat over it, or is that how glossy it comes out?

I used TS-13 Tamiya clear, one of my favorites, and then a light polish with Tamiya polishing compound and a coat of Meguires wax 👍
