Anglia105E
This is my 1:32 scale Airfix Jaguar 420 as a completed build. The car is finished in Opalescent Silver Blue metallic, with a dark blue leather interior. David
beeRS
This turned out great. Is the silver blue an original Jaguar colour? It looks like it should be. Good detail for a small scale kit.

Good detail for a small scale kit. Thanks a lot Sonny, and yes this is the correct Jaguar paint colour that I had mixed for me by a specialist automotive paints company in Brighton. They have supplied me with 400 ml aerosol cans for several of my projects in the past. The detail for this Airfix kit is really good, especially considering the 1:32 scale, as you say. The chassis and suspension has quite a lot of parts in particular. David
Bainford
Nice Jag, and cool little model. Nice work on this one. I'd love to build one of these in 1/24.

Thank you Trevor . . . I have built the 1:24 scale Tamiya Jaguar MK 2, which I converted into a MK 1, but there isn't a 1:24 scale version of the 420. The 1:24 Tamiya Jaguar MK 2, as well as their Morgan, are recognised as very good quality kits. They tend to fetch high prices on Ebay ! Here are photos of both the 1:32 car in blue, and the 1:24 car in gold. David
Bainford
Cheers David. Good looking Mk 1. I have a Mk II in the stash, and looking forward to building it. I always liked the look of the front end of the 420, though.
