Thanks Daniel, but the blue hat will be back but on a different project with a much more appropriate paint scheme.

Straightliner59 Posted October 17, 2022 Posted October 17, 2022 The electronics looks great! It goes right along with the engine. Excellent work, Ian.
bobthehobbyguy Posted October 17, 2022 Posted October 17, 2022 It has been a pleasure to watch your process through your build. Something we don't see in a lot of builds.

Something we don't see in a lot of builds. Thank you for the kind words Bob. I thought it might be of some interest how a clean sheet phantom design could be evolved using real world design criteria. My aim was this could be a real car, it just isn't. I'm doing this one for fun with none of the attendant stress and pressures that come from building replicas of real cars, still putting in a fair amount of detail just not obsessing over it.
Ian McLaren Posted October 19, 2022 Author Posted October 19, 2022 Some of the engine details finished. Please note that the engine does not look brand new I am adding some weathering to the model to make it appear to be used but not abused. 1
Ian McLaren Posted October 22, 2022 Author Posted October 22, 2022 Injector hat ready to put on the engine. I got the hat from Nick Bradshaw (great product) but everything else is scratch built

Ian McLaren Posted October 24, 2022 Author Posted October 24, 2022 The chassis is starting to come together, a fair amount left to do, but getting there. 1

Dragline Posted October 26, 2022 Posted October 26, 2022 I was away far too long. I see that the build quality has only gotten higher and I will have to step up my game. I just went through this thread and I must say this is a stunning build in every sense. Just beautiful.
