jjsipes Posted September 21, 2022 Author Posted September 21, 2022 Got the body work completed and decided on which one I will be building but, not letting on yet. I started the paint process and will post an update when painted.
jjsipes Posted September 28, 2022 Author Posted September 28, 2022 Painting has started. Need to go over the Gold again once I can get to the store. Decided to go with Bobby Allison. 1
MarkJ Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 Awesome paint, Jason. The paint separation line is perfect. Thats one thing I wish I could improve on. What kind of tape do you use, not that it will help me any.

Pierre Rivard Posted September 29, 2022 Posted September 29, 2022 Looks awfully nice. Beautiful paint!
sflam123 Posted September 29, 2022 Posted September 29, 2022 A beautiful paint job!! Bobby Allison's red/gold paint job was always one of my favorites. You are doing a great job on this project.
dawgvet Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 Love this build! Would like to see what your progress has been lately!
jjsipes Posted October 10, 2022 Author Posted October 10, 2022 Just got the Gold resprayed last week and decided to try and clear it today. Not too bad but the door lines ran back a little. 2
MarkJ Posted October 11, 2022 Posted October 11, 2022 Time to get the chassis done and put this baby together. I can already tell it's going to be a winner.
Pierre Rivard Posted October 11, 2022 Posted October 11, 2022 Beautiful paint job. Gold is tricky and you nailed it. A very promising build.
jjsipes Posted November 28, 2022 Author Posted November 28, 2022 Well, I now need to source another hood for my project. I love my dog but, she got a hold of my hood thinking it would taste good. Guess somebody knocked it down from the top of the bookshelf it was on until I got around to building it this winter.
jjsipes Posted November 29, 2022 Author Posted November 29, 2022 Did some digging, think I may have found another hood in my stash. I had a Revell Daytona Charger that I had swapped the front ends with a Revell 68 Charger to use an AMT 69 Charger 500 grille in to make a better detailed 69 Chargee 500. Need to finish that one soon. Anyway I have another hood to prep and paint.

She's out of the doghouse for now anyways. I love her but, man she needs to stop eating things she shouldn't. She's my sidekick. 1

MarkJ Posted November 29, 2022 Posted November 29, 2022 I can see what you're saying, Jason. There's no way you could stay mad at that wonderful puppy dog for more than just a few seconds. What an awesome dog you've got there.

My wife and I walked into the pet store back in March and we seen that face and couldn't leave here there. She came home that day with us. Maddie, is her name. She goes to work with me everyday. She's my very close sidekick.
sflam123 Posted December 4, 2022 Posted December 4, 2022 Beautiful paint job on the model and what a beautiful dog too, even if she does have a taste for plastic! LOVE those eyes!
jjsipes Posted January 2, 2023 Author Posted January 2, 2023 Got this back out to try and complete. Got the wheels and tires ready to go. Working on the dash. Got the body polished and bare-metal foiled. 2
MarkJ Posted January 2, 2023 Posted January 2, 2023 Coming along perfectly, Jason. Woodgrain on the dash looks superb.
