I opened this one a little while ago but went no further, out again now and I'll get into it. It's been built to death by everyone but I'll put my spin on it anyway.

I have the base Tamiya kit, the Tamiya fork set, and a cheap small PE set from crazy modeller. Also a PE and resin clutch which I don't remember building but I must have already!

I've been working a lot but got some time last night for this one. I glued the sub assemblies together for the engine and fairings which was a great start.

Onward with this build, I've been modifying it to run 2mm aluminium tube instead of screws in the axles and pivots, painted all the green stuff in Tamiya TS22 green and started laying on some decals. Not enough pics but you get the idea

And more decals! The panel on the right side has 6 separate parts to the decal.

Also more fab work and prep for further painting.

More decals, a little touching up will be needed in between the black ones, then some clear to seal them in.

great looking build! Built that one without the aftermarket. The Tamiya MotoGP bikes cannot be beat looking forward to the finish

Thanks Roy!

I'm back into this one for a while, I started assembling the forks and continued painting and weathering the engine and rear shock. Sometimes I think I weather too much, sometimes it looks VERY old and dirty.

Its great to get back into one for me again, I do enjoy building for others but it is good to be able to change along the way. I'm just looking at the ECUs on this one, I could drill the ends and run a heap of wiring. It could be a straight forward addition!

Great start.I have that same kit.I don’t normally build motorcycles, but this kit spoke to me,it reminded me of my own Ninja RR.Yours looks a lot nicer.I laid mine down shortly after i bought it.Hung onto it,until it was basically stripped for its parts by some friends.?‍♂️?Whatever.But really excellent job choosing that color, and laying those decals on.I was just drawn into Kawasaki bikes,I think for the attraction i have to Lime Green,or (Kawasaki),Ninja green, whatever you wanna call it.?‍♂️?

Progress again! I'm really loving building this one. Engine is in the frame and the swing arm is on now for good. The 2mm aluminium tube works great for the swingarm pivot and should do the trick for the axles as well. Radiator got some detail along with the front brake rotors and upper triple clamp. Thanks for looking in.

I wanted to try and get a carbon appearance on the brake rotors so I played around a bit with speckling a little silver over the SG black. I think it looks ok. Also got the exhaust system and radiator on. I tried for nearly 2 hours on the rim band decals and couldn't get them right so plain black wheels it gets! I may add some smaller decal like the Oz wheels have.
