cargostar
Heres a couple of hoods that have appeared on my bencch over the last couple of evenings. A tilt, and a bat wing hood for an IH Loadstar. I'm going to get both hoods roughed in, and then start on a cab.

mackinac359
Cool. I'm surprised Ertl never did an old 'binder like the Loadstar or Fleetstar. Tim
chuckyr
Great stuff! What happen to the Lonestar? How about a 9700 or a 9800? Edited December 18, 2009 by chuckyr
Aaronw
Dave, you are going to bankrupt me if you do the rounded Loadstar as a crew cab. Those were very popular with the US Forest Service and California Department of Forestry, I could easily use a dozen of them.
chuckyr
Your International cabs and hoods reminded me that I have a Pinecrest International 8200 trans kit. I will post some photos when I get the camera.

Kostas Parchas
HE he! My eyes are reading what they want ! The first time I saw the title of the thread I read lonestar(s) LOL Anyway, nice job on these hoods !!!! PS: I wish I could read a thread on this board about a LONESTAR KIT ............
cargostar
The Lonestar is still being worked on also.... For a 97, or 9800, the best to start with would be KFS's 9600. Its the best. Not cheap though... I've thought about it, but, I haven't ordered one yet to cut up. I've got several of the Pinecrest cabs/parts too. I have the 8100, 8300, service body, areo components for the 8300, a DT466, etc..... Yes Aaron, there will be a crew cab..

I've wanted to do that in 1:1 for years!

Can you tell me more about this Loadstar you're building. I've been looking everywhere for a model of a one in any scale. The only thing close to a scale model I've found has been an Ertl 1/16 scale pressed steel toy from the '60s.

falcongeorge
Yes, I had them uploaded here. modeltrucks25 I have every issue, real shame that deal never took off. Mark was VERY frustrated with the lack of response, we had some long phone conversations about it.
cargostar
That part was taken from "Navistar Model News" that David Palmeter (7000in5th) was involved in. To my knowledge, Pinecrest never got the 9400 produced. I was on a waiting list for a couple of them. Most of the Piecrest stuff was nice for the time, But there were a couple of "discrepencies" in them when compared to the real truck. It didn't stop me from ordering at least one of everything they offered!! Most noticable the headlights were too small. Marks 9600 cab over is a really nice piece also, just a little thick, like most early resin cabs. I spent alot of money thru NMN!!!
