W-409 Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 Don't post pics from your 1:1 car! No that's very impressive, good work! That awesome paintjob and nicely fitting decals are very nice ones. The engine detailing is super! And those wheels: These are the best American Racing wheels I've ever seen. I mean they are the most realistic ones because of you, Fleetline! Oh and I had to say, that vinyl top is awesome too. Ten points!
bigmikevee Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 Beautiful build, color looks great, the wheels just look so good, sure brings back memories for me!! Mike
Jeff Sauber Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 Len, Is that the PE grill for the AMT Nova from Model car garage? I heard several times that it doesn't fit to well on the revell Nova, but yours looks pretty good. Any mods to the grill needed to get it to fit right?

Guest Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 Man, now I gotta clean all the drool off my keyboard! Awesome!! How did you do your vinyl top?
Len Woodruff Posted June 15, 2010 Author Posted June 15, 2010 Jeff it is the PE from MCG. But the fit is not great. The problem as I found out too late is that the headlights turn in at the top. The next one I do will have the full grill with SS removed. Why didn't they make this a seperate script???
Len Woodruff Posted June 15, 2010 Author Posted June 15, 2010 The vinyl top was done using strip styrene and then sprayed with Scale Motorsport textured paint. It came out flat so I shot some semi gloss over it.
Hillbilly Deluxe Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 Super Nova Len!! Really beautiful build,I like everything about it!
Greg Cullinan Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 My sentiments exactly. Super Nova Len!! Really beautiful build,I like everything about it!
David G. Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 Smooooth and deadly! I noticed it's on a contest table. Did you get any recognition for your efforts?

Perhaps one day, The'll do a complete grill assembly for this car.. You did a super job on this kit. The grill looks excellent the way you have it...Nice work!!
bsoder Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 That is one super-fine Nova..and the Rallie green & blk. V top combo just looks perfect

You did a super job on this kit. The grill looks excellent the way you have it...Nice work!! Jay the photo etch kit has some very good Nova & Yenko scripts. I think I like the kit side markers better from a 3d point of view. I just wised it had some interior photo etch.
Janne Herajärvi Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 Very cool Yenko. Nice color choice and that vinylroof looks great too

vizio93 Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Wow that looks nice !!! I bet you could put it in your driveway and get away with a realistic shot ! Once again great job !!! :D
Len Woodruff Posted June 18, 2010 Author Posted June 18, 2010 Thanks for everyone's kind remarks. I am especially glad to hear the positive comments about the vinyl roof. It was a real PITA.
