Aftashox, I have recovered from my marathon and am back in the game! Those cabinets are looking good. That veneer looks like the iron-on tape I use for making cabinets. Do you iron it on or use some other method? If you're not ironing it on, you might look into unglued veneer. It's much thinner, and comes in a lot more flavors. If it's hard to find, let me know, I'll send you a batch for the privilege of watching your builds!

Hey basher thx for your offer I havent seen any unglued, im just gluing it onto the plastic with CA glue. I would love to get some without glue. i could use that in alot of applications in modelling. And its always my pleasure to build with you guys in mind. B)

Aftashox, I am a rookie to forums and such, and don't know how to do a private transaction. I have literally a ton of unglued veneer, and could shove a bunch in an envelope and mail it to you, if we can figure out how.

Its no more expensive than you would pay here in the states , they drop the 16% tax on it and the shipping is about the same. I saw these same wheels on a site based here in the states and he wanted 180 bucks for it I came out cheaper getting them from KFS. :P

didnt know you can buy all alum aftermarket parts. this is looking really kool

Did this project ever see completion? It was giving so much inspiration, being able to watch through the build process. Rom is such a great talent. If it has been completed does anyone have the link to a picture of it? AndI apologise for necroing an old thread.

The Big One has arrived at its new home. Minimal damage in transit, rear steer axle was broken away from the frame, a couple of axle stubs broken off rear axles, and a small cable guide broken from the wrecker boom. Pictures later, Thanks Romell

I AM LATIMORE!!!! Elf foreman of the "FUOMBE" (Federated Union of Model Building Elves) and we are sick and tired of taking a back seat while Romell gets all the glory for models we build! We hereby demand to be recongnized! Or we will no longer build his models!

Too Funny... sorry i missed this when it was fresh... I am amazed beyond words!

I'm still waiting on Romell to send me some of the parts and pieces he missed from the original shipment. The truck is alive and well. some repairs need to be made from damage during shipment. I took it to the Masscar show this last weekend to show Rommell's work to the East coast guys and got alot of compliments. I take it to NNL East in just a few weeks before I resume the build. (other projects that need to be worked on and I need to define what all I what the "Big 1" to be. I got new frame rails from GW trucks at the Mass car show. The frame has issues that need to be addressed to insure that it doesn't react like a pipe cleaner from the wieght of all the heavy parts. Now it's time for a poll to see what direction the truck should take. You have seen throughout the post that Romell had two different cabs. I also have a Lonestar. Ideas suggestions?
