krishna.iskandana Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 Hi again guys, This a 1975 Chevy Corvette Stingray from MPC, it was a part of MPC Corvette collection series (3 kits in a box) along with '57 stingray and '85 coupe which I will post later. It was built oob with additional engine wires, the color is Tamiya light metallic blue and clearcoated with gloss clear from Mr. Hobby. Let me know what you think and thanks for looking. Regards Krishna Iskandana Perth, Western Australia
TheCat Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 That's a very nice looking build. Did the seatbelts come with the kit?
roadhawg Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 Thats nice, love the color combo!! This is my favorite generation of Corvette. I've never been a fan of aftermarket wheels on these, but those look good on there. I'd definitely take her for a test drive!!!
Dr. Cranky Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 Nice job on the shine and I really like that color.
Monty Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 Krishna, as a certified C3 ('68-'82) fanatic, it always makes my day to see one built and painted as nicely as that one. The paint you used is very close to Chevy's Bright Blue for 1975. Like Tommy, I'm kinda picky about aftermarket wheels, but the ones you used look great. I'll be interested to see how the other 'Vettes in that set turn out. Tommy, if you didn't already know, MPC offered models of all the C3s. They feature nicely detailed chassis, poseable front wheels and an IRS with separate half-shafts. A few (early '70s) even included real metal coil springs for the front suspension. I'm hoping someday I'll find the time to replicate my 1:1
bbowser Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 Nice job, excellent model! I wasn't a fan when these came out to replace the Stingrays (63-67) but now I like them a lot. Funny what time does .
Monty Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 That's a very nice looking build. Did the seatbelts come with the kit? Yes.
