gtx6970
How about one of the red tinted clear bodied cars. The chassis thats under this is just for mockups. I plan to build it and do the candy apple red chassis, I have pics of the car with a red chassis and and black chassis , I just think the red version will look better under the clear red body Edited February 14, 2013 by gtx6970
Scale-Master
I think the red frame might get lost, I'd be inclined to go with the black chassis for contrast.

Green Duster
Black chassis or maybe silver?
NormL
My guess is that green would stand out. During laser scanning our green lasers can't see red and our red lasers can't see green
gtx6970
In the articles I have on this car it appears oo have been candy apple red at some point and black in others. Just not sure the time frames on when either were ran. The magazine article I have on the car calls it 'all new' and it has a black chassis. But in some pictures I have it's clearly red
Custom Hearse
That is really COOL! The red frame wouldn't be bad, but I have to agree with Mark. The only time you would see the red frame is when the body was tilted up.
NormL
A red frame would make the other details appear to be floating inside, ... that could be kind of cool
Ben
Looks like the old Monogram Luminators 1/32 funny cars.

gtx6970
Nice rare kit your building! Looks great! I bought this one new for this exact build in mind. I've actually looked for another one and all I ever find is the clear bodied car. this is the one and only red tinted kit I've seen (should have bought more when I had the chance I guess) The decals were put on within weeks of opening the box back then and it's just sat on the shelf ever since. But not for much longer.
FASTBACK340
I scored a red one off of e-Bay a few years ago. Never see them anymore. On occasion the Chargers pop up, but not the 'Cuda. Nice to see one being built. I have a pro-mod started using a conventional plastic PL body as the basis. One day....
Modlbldr
Man, would I love to have one of those. I never knew they did them in red. So, how long ago did you buy this? BTW- I understand the idea of doing a black frame, but my two cents is with the candy red frame for sure. Later-
FASTBACK340
When they did the Ghost kits of the Cuda & Charger the red kits were randomly included in cases. I grabbed one ASAP to insure i got it. I did the same thing when they did the clear blue Digger Cuda reissue a few years ago.
gtx6970
While doing some straghtening up at the model bench today. I got to thumbing thru the magazine article on this car and realized it ran a 392 Hemi,,,,so much for box stock .....but I am leaning towards a black chassis to replicate the magazine article car. decisions decisions
