IceMan Collections
As I was looking for a donor for the chopped resin piece I got this week. I found this built up Chevy pickup I wanted to rebuild. It was originally red. This was the original plan. So I started working... Added some balsa wood to the bed. I did some sanding after the flat black. I had a similar idea as I had with the 50 Merc from not too long ago. You can see the original color. Added a frame and rails to the now dirty bed. IceMan Collections
Wanted some rust on the body but I think I got carried away... Almost done. Need some bumpers and then off to some day shots. Too much rust?

gonzo64nova
Your weathered paint looks very good.... If you want to try to create rust thru holes its pretty easy. I use my dremel tool to grind out the inside of the fender while I keep my finger in the same spot on the outside, this way you can feel when it gets very thin (dont go all the way thru) then take your exacto knife and poke very small holes in it from the outside. It looks more accurate if there are many staggered sized holes instead of one big one. Another tip is to take the small pieces of plastic that came off the fender while grinding and liquid glue back into the hole from the back to really create some very fine detail. Good job on your 50 - Bill
502
I think the body looks great. Maybe alittle too much rust on the motor though. I would put some hub caps on it. Heck I would probably just use the stock ones the kit comes with.

crazyrichard
nice i dig it !! one thing those red rims stick out like ... you need to give those a wash with black ? so the deeper parts get some depth and its not so clean and red .. i think that would finish it of
