cobraman
OK guys. Here's another of my stupid ideas for a build. I am going to use these 2 kits to create one. I'm planning on cutting of the entire roof of the Ford body. I will then use sheet plastic and putty and create the flat top. I will open holes for the rollbar and of coarse the engine. I will have to shorten up the funny car chassis about a half inch or so or at least alter the wheel base. I'm sure some other modifications will be required. Aren't they always ? Wish me luck. This is going to be fun ! Edited August 12, 2013 by cobraman
cobraman
I messed up. Could someone please move this to the "Drag" section or tell me how to. Thanks

cobraman
Thanks Carl, we'll see if this pans out or if I just ruin 2 kits. Heck, I can always use the parts.
ScaleDale
This guy doesn't think it's all that far out a build. Roadsters were all the rage at this years Northwest Nationals in Super Gas. Have fun with it! dale

ScaleDale
Here's another reference pic from the same race. The Super Gas winner was a '57 Corvette roadster. Dale
cobraman
Don't see a Vette. But it is a beautiful 57 Chevy. If only I had the talent to build something that nice. I would love to see our buddy John tackle something like this.
Dragfreak
I think he meant that the winner of the super gas class was a vette and thats just another photo of a car from the same race
Mooneyzs
Ray.... This is going to be a great build. I am looking forward to what you will do with is. I love super gas roadster's and am planning on doing a '63 Vette roadster in 1/16th scale. Ray when I get back to Arizona I can post a few super gas corvette roadsters if you want. ScaleDale
Just wanted to add reference pics for the sedan chop. Since there's interest, Here's the S/G winner. He's from Canada. Dale

cobraman
Those cars are all very cool but a bit different than what I have in mind. My body will be over a pretty much stock funny car chassis. Here we go. Too late to turn back now !
Dragfreak
This is going to be really awesome ,are you going to be using the funnycar top fuel engine or are you going to put something else in it?
cobraman
Going with the funny car kits TF engine.
