o-man Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 After an extended model making funk, I have this finished. Built from this kit Used this as inspiration Painted Duplicolor Hyundai Pearl White. Hard to see pearl in photos despite the bright sunshine. Interior a combination of Walmart gray primer, Tamiya German Gray, and different dilutions of Future floor wax. Had an issue with headlights. Was finishing painting over chrome on grill surround and git black paint down inside headlight bucket. So, I took silver paint to lens to cover it up.
o-man Posted December 13, 2014 Author Posted December 13, 2014 More picturesThanks for looking. Comments and constructive criticism welcomed.
geetee66 Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 Looks like a nice kit of a nice car. A few years back, I had a boss who collected these. He had one of the short-wheelbase versions, too. You did a great job on yours
Belugawrx Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 Nice and clean Oscar.. welcome out of the funk Cheers
Modelmikey Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 Nice clean build of a not so common kit. The real car was very inovative, and changed rally racing forever!
Dominik Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Nice clean build of a not so common kit. The real car was very inovative, and changed rally racing forever! ...and the Sound of the engine is stunning. Like your built! Long time ago, as i've seen one Coupe driving here in Germany... Perhaps you can paint the doorhandles black?
