This is the Testors / Model Master / Jimmy Fintstone Kit Mercohaulic. I built this several years ago and it was fun to build. Most of the work of course was making sure I gave it a nice smooth finish. And for my skills back then, I think it turned out great. The color is simply the Testors Metallic Blue in the small 1/4 ounce bottle. I always welcome any comments and criticisms. Enjoy!

Very Nice Build! I was admiring the paint job and I had to re-read the paint that you used. When I was first going over your post I saw Testors and I had just assumed you had used the Testors one coat lacquer. Because the paint looks really great on that car. But then I remembered that there is no Red Pearl for the one coat lacquer so I went back to re-read what you did use. And that's the Acrylic Paint in those tall square bottles! You did a great job with those. When I first saw them, I bought a handful and played around for a bit was wasn't quite sure how to get good results, especially on the body of a car. But after seeing what you did, I'm really going to have to go back and revisit this. Nice Job! When using those paints can you talk about what you did to get such a nice finish? And, I have this kit as well, how was it trying to fit the body over the chassis, any tips there? The body is contoured all the way around and the firewall budges out quite a bit so I'm sure there is some trickery on getting the body over all that. Nice Car!

This is my "Rusty's Last Call" Build. It is not the Charger but the Dodge Intrepid instead. I used the Ryan Newman Alltell Kit and a set of Decals I bought off of Ebay. When I saw the Decals, I had to have them. At one point Slixx Decals had the Charger Body, but I decided to go with the Alltell Kit instead. But I love the whole paint scheme and look for this car which is why I built it. As always, I welcome any and all comments, likes and criticisms. Enjoy!

Thanks for the kind words and I'm glad to see that others wanted to post their stockers as well! The gold paint I used was the Model Masters Gold. It sprayed on pretty nicely

This one has that rough ready to race look! I like it! Nice Job!

This is another nice one! I think it's fun to see all the different "visions" that people have had for these kits! Nice!
-
I like this one a lot as well. It's got that "rolled out of a garage, ready to race" look. Nicely Done!

I really like the Miller Car! The car plus those decals really turned out great! I'm glad to see more of these!

Here is the '65 Olds 88 Stocker. I think these are fun kits to build. As I stated in another post, they are basically a blank canvas that you can do anything with. The one I built is the result of going through ebay one day and coming across the Coca Cola decals. The decals are enough to do three cars in three different styles more or less. But any way, I chose this set for this car and I think it turned out pretty good. This is one of my favorites! All comments and criticisms are welcome! Enjoy!

Nice Job! I have one of these as well, and seeing yours makes me want to post mine! I like these kits and I think they are like this blank canvas in that you can do whatever you want with them. And I love what you did with yours! Very Cool! It looks like you stuck with the kit and I love how it turned out! The blue looks great on it! I didn't put the side bars on mine but after seeing yours, I might do that now! Great car I like it!

Very Nice Car!! And I can appreciate your comment on being your best build yet, because I am two parts away from finishing what I feel is my best build. As modelers, we are always trying to press forward in our skills so I do appreciate and congratulate you on that! It is definitely a beautiful car! Can you tell me if that's the AMT kit or the Revell one? I looked but I must have missed it. And can you share what color/paint you used for the interior? I have been looking for this color and have failed miserably in doing so! Great Job!

I usually go a bit overboard with the decals. I love decals, not sure why. The last set of decals that I am thinking about putting on, but I might not is, the yellow "Hippi Hemi" decals on each side of the engine, like you see on the box. Currently I don't think I am, but if you guys have thoughts let me know, Yellow "Hippi Hemi" decals or leave it as it is!

I just finished this the other day. It's the AMT Hippi Hemi sorta in "Side Box Art" Style. I used Testors Grape Pearl to build it to resemble the artwork on the side of the box. Again, I welcome all comments, compliments and criticisms. Enjoy!

Nice! I was hoping more of these would come out of the wood work!

Thanks for the nice words, this was fun to build. I may take just a few more pictures but from further back. Going back to the Monza comment, I thought that looked familiar. My Dad bought an 81 Monza for a commute car. It was a sharp looking car, at least I thought so, but it had one of those 4 cylinder engines and almost sorta had power. I inherited the car and drove it to college. I liked it. One of my good friends in High School had a real Vega similar to the above. We had a lot of fun in that car. He dropped a small block in it, and it would go. Would scrape the pavement every now and then but that's part of it.

Here is one last picture I'll put in here. Now that I know this works ok, I have a few more cars I want to share.

Here are a few more. The paint is the Testors One Coat White Lightning sprayed with an air brush. Let me know how the size of these are, I tied to make the pictures not so large.

Here's Another Twisters Vega. I was going through the forum earlier and I saw a post for a Twisters Vega that I liked. And I've been wanting to start posting on here as well. This is the AMT Twisters Vega pretty much out of the box with just a few personal touches that I added. Any and all feedback and/or criticism is welcome.
