  1. Very Nice!! This turned out really good!
  2. I don't think this is a bad car at all. I've been wanting to do a car in just primer. Thus far, my only candidate would be my Revell 29 Ford Pickup. But I like it! Steve
  3. Did I see somewhere that they were going to re-release Boothill Express? I could have sworn I saw that. Anyone know? Thanks!
  4. Nice Car!! I like the paint as well! Did you reveal what paint and color you used? Or is that a trade secret!! Great Job! Steve
  5. Thanks for sharing pics with a car painted with those Acrylics. I saw those on the testors website for the first time not too long ago and I've been wanting to try them. Sounds like they have a good endorsement from you! I like what you did with them on that car! Steve
  6. Wow, not sure what else to say, just Wow! Very Nice!! Steve
  7. Good Luck with this and I do hope you finish it as opposed to throwing it out the window. I'm just about done with mine, I'm down to attaching the flip hood. I'm going to try to use whats in the box but I'm doubting much that will work. So I'm very curious to see how you tackle that. Definitely a "Character Building" kit but I still like it. I will definitely be following this one!! Steve
  8. In my humble opinion, you could rip off the BMF from the sides, That, to me, would give it a few more "like" points. I like the paint scheme that you did. Hopefully underneath the foil, you have some smooth paint lines. It's the foil that looks wrong to me. One nice benefit from a build like this is that you can always learn from it for the next one. But I don't think this one is as bad as you think it is really!! Steve
  9. Wow, thats a really nice build. I built the Green Hornet just a few years ago straight out of the box. But it's no where near as nice as this! Good Job! Steve
  10. I love the overall look of this car! To me, everything came together really nice. I've never been interested in this kit until I saw this car!!! Great Job! Steve
  11. I really like this car! This is the best use of Pearl Ex on a model car that I have seen! I bought Pearl Ex a while back and have never figured out just how to use it until I read what you did. I finally have some ideas!! On a different note, I do everything I can NOT to paint every car I have purple! It's my favorite color and I think most cars look great in that color! Seeing this car doesn't help that urge at all!! Great car!! Steve
  12. Nice Build! After seeing this, it sure makes me glad I have one in my stash ready to build!! Good Job! Steve
  13. I have one question about this kit. How in the world do you get the radiator installed???????????? I never did figure it out! Thanks, Steve
  14. You know? I see that now Warlock II by Donn Yost (I thought Dr. Cranky did it!) and "custom mix of Testors Enamel" (in the post above) One of my goals this year is to learn to read!! Steve
  15. Love the California Charger. In my opinion, that's one of the Holy Grails in the model car world. Had one when I was a kid. Very Nice! Steve
  16. First of all thats a very nice car. Pretty impressive actually!! I know you're a big fan of HOK, as I watched one of your videos about it. Do you mind sharing what you used here on this one? The color in the pics really show! So I'm interested to see what you used. Again Nice Car! Steve
  17. Great Car! Hey did you spray the paint right out of the can? Or did you decant and airbrush? It laid down very nicely, I've been wanting to try Duplicolor myself. But a very nice car all the way around!! Steve
  18. Nice car, I like the fact that you were trying different paints and then you displayed exactly what you used! Very Helpful, Thanks! Quick question, did you spray the Krylon out of the can or did you decant and use the air brush? If so, what did you thin it with? Again, nice car and thanks! Steve
  19. I have 7 or 8 that I consider "Work in Progress". But I always pick one that's going to be the "Finish it" Kit. So I work on that one first and then play around with the others. In fact, I finished one today! Steve
  20. Very nice build! Can you share the information on the paint you used? I like this color as I have a few cars I'd like to use it on! Again, Good Job! Steve
  21. Hi, Thanks for sharing your secrets with me. Luckily I have both the Testors Paint and the Pearl X on hand, so I was relieved to hear, that's what you were using. I'm assuming you laid down the Testors Paint first and then applied some mixture of Pearl X and a Clear on top of that? I've been trying to figure out the best way to use the Pearl X ever since I bought it. One last comment/statement, is anyone else bummed out that Testors has stopped making the "Colors by Boyd" line? I know I am. Looking forward to your thoughts! Steve
  22. Very Nice! Can you tell me what exactly is that Light Blue for the Camaro in the first pics? It looks like it could be a light metallic blue but I'm not sure. I've been looking for this color for a long time now! Thanks, Steve
