  1. First the windshield is cracked when i bought this kit, 2nd time the return process takes forever and the 2nd package took forever to get from the mail because i missed the delivery.. bad luck kit
  2. Battlefield 1942 game back in 2002 had the best kubelwagens you could blow up a whole b 17 by ramming one into it ! lol
  3. it actually all depends on the impalas you want to build, 59 impala - Revell ( old big box kit) is great, 60 impala - Revell (The old big box lowrider kit with amazing art decals, easily convertable to a hot rod with cragars and a raised suspension) 61 Impala i am not so sure about i believe maybe lindberg makes them? one i never owned, 62 impala both amt and revell have great quality, i would probably pick the new special edition as they seem to be the top of the line revell kits and have decals for gauges badges and small things that save building time, 63 Impala actually has a decent amigo pack kit with Aztec decals and an identical diecast, this one i would not mind building as a lowrider, the AMT Prestige kit has a more of a promo styled building with few parts but authentic whitewalls and a more vanilla look, 64 Impala AMT has an older kit with some racing decals and revell has a very nice lowrider 2 n 1 kit which is basiclly 3 n 1 one cause you can always build a hot rod and put the lowrider decals on it ( in my opinion a good change and the decals are often too good to pass up) 65 Impala is the best BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH impala kits period, The revell convertible large box kit from around 1998 is the best one you can find, the purple lowrider magazine kit is also great for a hot rod conversion, model car garage sells update sets for almost all impalas and the 65 set is amazing with the tail light bezel details ( one of my favorite things to detail period is those BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH 65 tail lights) 66 Impala can be bought as an ss kit from the new edition of revell, i do not own one so cant describe too well but it does have 66 tail lights and many changes from 65. Now for 67 Impala you cant go wrong with the AMT ss 396 kit which is very hunted on ebay and hardly find the original 90s issue for under 35$ Great kit thought and one of the Impala years where it only really works as a performance muscle car. For 68 and 69 Impalas there are a few very old mpc kits that go for over 200$ and honestly we need more of those released! The hidden headlight 67 impala and along with 68 and 69 are very badass cars. 70 Impala you can get it as an amt kit which is a nice car overall. Oh i forgot 58 Impala go with older amt kits! Probably a bit too much info for covering all Impala years but should give a good idea...
  4. Here is some progress pictures, those motors are sure turning out fine even without anything added yet, the wires will make them very nice. I enjoyed making this so far a long with the doom 1 and 2 soundtracks playing in the background... great muscle car music lol
  5. Nice one, they need to make the 2012 charger model kit, would get like 3 of those lol
  6. You know, the brand of the zils and the other russian die cast is " holding inkotekst" but with the russian business corruption in 90s i believe the company changed name a few times lol. http://store.diecast.ru/product_info.php?products_id=334 here is a link where you can order them but the prices are crazy, most of my die cast i bought in Russia in Saint petersburg for like 5-20$ each at most, shipping them sucked but was worth it.
  7. Most of my stuff here
  8. Just started these 3 and pulled that gremlin from the unfinished projects shelf, i figured it would be more fun to build with other similar colored cars with sporty looks. The nova is painted into testors green, the mustang is testors tangerine ( probably not the most correct orange for it but seemed to fit the best) the comet is testors gloss black, gremlin is model master bright yellow. This whole project is so... citrus I had fun painting these colors they even kind of brighten the whole desk.
  9. the Edsel should of been played as Christine instead if the fury, for some reason this car scares me but beautiful project you have in mind otherwise.
  10. Has anyone else collected many of these? They seem to be the best quality 1/64 models i can find without paying a crazy price, just got a hemi charger from 1970 for like 4 99 in toys r us, these are so great! http://www.m2machines.com/products1.php?id=36&pg=3
  11. I have this constantly taking up double parking space around the area of my apt building, what exactly is this? it doesn't have any badges but ford cant figure out if its a ford elite or ford torino... or even year i think maybe 1976?
  12. Some more pictures, motor and back. Visited toys r us today with my friend and ended up with some of those tiny 1/64s on the very left, i couldnt resist the red on red galaxie haha. Cars are great.
  13. Kind of the plan here for a decent display, i enjoyed making the wood and love the models when they finally go together. The other 4 spots are for a 1968 4 door Plymouth fury in white, a 1965 continental in black, another 1970 ltd in ivory, 1970 Pontiac Bonneville in red and there is also a working rotating display which i want to place a 1962 electra on with a continental kit.
  14. Taking small pieces of blue tape and slowly outlining each trim with it, i seem to suck at bare metal foil and its also expensive so i just paint the trimmings by masking them off... very slow and boring process that extends the build by a long time. lol
  15. Just finished this after wanting to make a model of this type for a long time, added the computer, although may be slightly fictional still looks very bad ass. Really like the outcome of this model, the wood is home depot pine routed with a ridgid router and stained with sedona red with 2 coats of high gloss polyurethane.
  16. rare kit... would pay like 120$ or more for the country squire 68 amt kit
  17. Good work, plum crazy is a great color
  18. I dont know why i loved this picture, the old fords sure look great next to the soviet Zil 115 and 117 and Gaz 14
  19. Some progress and mock up of what the model will look like, so far so good just some errors with the paint slightly blistering up on the back door area and some chrome paint flakes, but this has to probably be the hardest model to paint trimmings on...
  20. You should do the AMT 1970 Monte Carlo with the MCG update set and an edelbrock engine upgrade kit, nice interior job though i love it.
  21. Okay i used Round2's re released AMT police interceptor kit, i actually bought 2 of them and got some resin casts for a computer, walkie talkies and a camera to make the 2nd one a crazy California highway patrol car, either way the first car ended up being a basic black sedan, almost a mobster/gangster kind of influence on this one so lets see what it will turn out to in the next week or so if i have time, the wheels i believe are from a 69 galaxie kit, white walls are from old promos, the original wheels in this kit are so lame! They only really work with a police package or some sort of sleeper. This kit will also be placed on a wooden base which i made myself with routing, stain and 2 coats of high gloss polyethylene. This was the influence, saw something very similar outside not long ago (I think Merc Monterey) in all black and well taken care off, inspired me for this build. There are some shots of the body which i painted all the trimmings on.
  22. Oh man big durr on the hood area, will know that for the gto and el camino i have of the same year. The front bumper is painted rustoleum silver while the back is krylon chrome, the can was low and made those grains with one bad shoot, the krylon chrome however is not gonna stay shiny if you touch it a lot but the rustoleum holds up well to touching and handling.
  23. Okay my best try to make it look as real as possible
  24. I like when people do more personal interest based builds, shows you planned this all along even when it was just a big pile of plastic, good job.
  25. Props for the project i still wanna build, purple colors are the hardest to shoot with a gun or can period, good job
