1970-1975... the sad years....
Nxr replied to khier's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I am guessing kids back in the day were more interested in making sports cars and muscle cars rather than family sedans or wagons, as for why not so many molds exist now. What they need to make more is Cadillac models, there is like none! and the jo han devilles go for over 100 even in bad condition on ebay, ridiculous. -
Thank you for your response! That is very interesting and yes i do keep a clean record haha never any driving accidents and clean police record, never ever got into a fight!

I know a very out of topic question but i find these forums have very interesting people from all aspects of life, so i am wondering how many of you guys work in the railroad industry as a conductor switcher etc, i am looking to get into either CSX or Norfolk Southern and wanted to ask if anybody here had a long term experience in these fields and what you guys have to say, what to avoid and what not and how to keep a steady a job in this field. Thank you in advance.

An update to my Model car collection (in pictures)
Nxr replied to Nxr's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
interesting to hear your story I am glad you got through that and doing well now, it's a tough world we live in. As for trains they are just insane! if you search for athearn or atlas Ho trains on ebay you get over ten thousand results and there is so many different train cars and engines it's a never ending pursuit of more, very expensive too but well made. -

Ah speaking on that... i do smoke cigarettes and probably have a beer or two almost everyday, i cant say i am the most sane or perfect person. I also suffered from an addiction to a substance for over 5 years but have recovered and now focus more on modeling and work. -
So as time goes the collection gets better and better and the wallet doesn't seem to do the same but oh heck, i stay in budget make payments on my toys and get much enjoyment every time i get home to this. Have a look my wonderful model car magazine community hope you enjoy. I also collect many airplanes and Ho scale trains so you can notice those as well, after having like over 60 model car kits i finally ended buying a few die casts and got myself an 83 reliant and a 79 lebaron town country by motor max, all in the mail currently.

I have the Prestige issue from the 80s of this kit, its very nice and i like the way older kits are packaged.

You know i stopped clear coating cars, i got sick of the lacquer spray cans and the airbrushed version, it stinks up so much and i just crazed so many builds with runs and drips of clear, i ended up just polishing models now with a very silky soft cloth and sometimes even used rejuvenate for floors on some... works cool and i feel like not much is going to change if i dont clear anymore, this however does not apply to real cars at all

see a build , gotta have it

I just feel like at some point there is only so much kits i am going to be able to build in my life and in the end its all just models -

I really adore the passion that Swedish and Finnish people have for American classics, those guys really know their stuff and take care of the cars well. Some of them even made it to Russia's very tiny Muscle car Community in Moscow and Saint Peters burg. -
