What's the deal with Johan
Nxr replied to Kaleb's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I have 5 Jo-han kits, recently scored a 68 Chrysler 300 for about 46 dollars, i also have the 62 fury, 68 fury police car, 60 Plymouth Wagon and 61 Olds wagon, i consider these kits as the highest gems in my collection and plan to build all of them with a lot of attention to detail and modifications. -

Garage sale finds of the day
Nxr replied to hotrodplastic's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I remember a year ago i scored 2 Revell late 80's kits of Pontiac Grand Prix (one 88 SE, other 89 Turbo model ) for 4$ total, i was happy but still have not built both. -
The rarest mpc kit is the 1970 Charger and certain years of Bonneville's.

Really loved the way this turned out, outside of the error on the back merc symbol and the poor fitting issues i got this thing done and it was a very hard model car to make, not recommend this kit for begging as it will make you mad! Color is Model master Classic Black and Interior is Testors Dark red, pretty much a stock build outside of some printed gauges, a few photo etch items and some wires, one of my favorite builds so far as i really liked the color combination. Also as i keep saying many times before, i need more 70-71 cyclone kits! Why are they 225$ on ebay! Other then that here you go with pictures:

Correct me if i am wrong but were these styles and years of BMW (e 30, e 32,e 34) the last true German designed cars?
-
Kit arrived today so here are some pictures of whats inside, the car is very long and has a decent set of Firestone tires and decals as well as hardtop/convertible options, these are the decals i got with mine.

Model I would love to see...
Nxr replied to MikeyB08's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I wish they would make a model of a few different generations of the Lincoln town car, including the last one, not the previous one before it , but the 1990's one and the 1980's one, Mercury Grand Marquis, Early 70's Oldsmobile 98 and more Mercury Cyclone Spoiler kits! Seriously! one of the most sinister and good looking muscle cars made and seems to have very little popularity and recognition. -
Check this out, would bid but i already have so many un-built models http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mini-Exotics-1-25-scale-1970-Torino-King-Cobra-conversion-kit-/330922944725?pt=Model_Kit_US&hash=item4d0c8b68d5

do you wear a resporator?
Nxr replied to DrewCfromSC's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I use goggles gloves and the 3m respirator to paint, i mostly paint inside with no spray booth but a workbench and i only paint acrylic and certain enamels inside the apartment, i use all my spray cans and primers outside now (wish i did earlier) or in the basement of the building in the late hours when nobody is there, i do notice some paint dust building up around the bench and my respirator filters get so gray after about 12 paint jobs and primers, i think spraying model master acrylics and enamels with an airbrush and a respirator is fine inside, but lacquers and spray cans should all be used outside or in a very well ventilated area, i do airbrush certain metalizers inside as well, probably should stop doing that but never had problems because of the protection equipment. -
What a scumbag, hope its still together and not a pile of parts, some people out there just look to harm and do evil to others...

I am guessing because the Eleanor was in a very decent movie and also somewhat started the resto-mod movement, but that's just my opinion.

PE set for 1964 Chevy Impala
Nxr replied to PowerPlant's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I know the 63 impala set works great with the revell impala, but a 63, i do as well have the 64 impala revell kit but do not plan on the update set as it seems to be directed more towards amt and would probably have major fit issues. -
Big wheels ruin everything! Myself as well hope that there is stock parts and decals to build a stock camaro with an RS grille, as for customs i think it would be cool if they made some of Barry White's super muscle car models instead, i find his work a little bit more appealing, but that's just me.

Build no.5 for the year 1968 plymouth fury 4-door 1/25 scale
Nxr replied to robo37's topic in Model Cars
I have this kit and building it white with hunter green like interior to replicate a 68 fury which still drives around Bedford ave in Brooklyn here, living here since 1999 i always remember seeing it with the same rust spots and minor dents, and its all still there! -

This deserves a model to be made after it. Amazing rig. -

Sukhoi T-4 Sotka
Nxr replied to Nxr's topic in WIP: All The Rest: Motorcycles, Aviation, Military, Sci-Fi, Figures
This is great thank you, might shed the cash out on this one very soon. -
Cant wait until this thing arrives, i am already thinking about the paint on it, any suggestions ? i am thinking red on red or black on black or turquoise and white... so many choices!
-
Cant wait to get both of these done, very easy builds actually since mostly require plain semi gloss acrylic paint or even flat white works with some clear after.

This is seriously the coolest and the rarest model out there, i cannot find them anywhere! And i highly doubt it will be re issued as not many people are interested in Soviet experimental aircraft, i already own a 1/72 tu 160, 1/144 Concorde and 1/144 tu 144 which i recently bought, and man i wish i could find this thing it is so interesting and unique. Has anyone ever owned one of these? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sukhoi_T-4
