  1. The "Bug" is nice, but that Karman is just too cool!! Nice builds both!!
  2. whoa! That think looks TOUGH!! Sweet build!!
  3. Nice work - very clean build!
  4. 6mm Tamiya tape is pretty flexible without cutting it into thinner strips. If the curves are alot sharper than this, thin strips are the way to go.
  5. Nice!! Your's and Mark Jones' super detailed build are the only ones I've seen built...
  6. I use the regulator on my compressor (12 gallon Craftsman), and a cheap moisture trap I got at walmart - seems to work just fine with my Paasche VL...
  7. Using the wood block with a hole drilled to match the diameter of the tube will support it and keep it from buckling. You can also slip a piece of evergreen rod stock into the tube for additional support.
  8. Try this: I use the following tools: small hammer, chunk of steel (anvil), knife (since replaced with miterbox/saw), and a center punch/drift that has been filed and polished to minimize tool marks. Cut the tube to the length you want, making sure both ends are square. I now use miter box and razor saw for this: Once you've cleaned the ends up, stand the tube on end on a hard surface (a 1/2 thick chunk of steel makes a fine anvil), and set the punch in one end: Lightly tap the punch with a small hammer untill you reach the desired flare: And you will end up with this: You can polish a length of tube to get a chrome-like finish before cutting, and to minimize the tool marks inside the flare, be sure to keep the beveled end of the punch clean and polished. If you want to make long injector tubes for drag cars, cut a piece of hardwood so the thickness matches the length of the tubes you want to make. Drill a hole the same size as the tube, then use a countersink to make room for the tube to flare, and repeat as above.
  9. They look good to me, and a nice build too!! Maybe a little more light? Diffuse, like you have already, just a little more of it? Looks like the camera does just fine for model pics.
  10. Never did like what they did to Indy to make the infield roadcourse and all the other stuff they did to appease the "Bernie & MAx" show. Any running of a USGP should be a natural terrain course like Watkins Glenn, Road America, Laguna Seca, ect.
  11. Very, very nice!!
  12. SWEET!! I'd have a hard time building a Ferrari that nice in a year, much less a DAY!!
  13. Nice looking "canyon carver"!!
  14. Fantastic build!! I am sooo gonna have to build another Fisher kit someday
  15. Nice work! Ya never see those built...
  16. It's covered in a light grey "e-coat" primer, with body color overspray around the rocker panels. The front subframe and suspension, fuel tank and fuel pump cover are all black, as is most of the rear suspension. Here's mine:
  17. Having owned a FOX body Mustang and currently owning a Lincoln Mark VIII with the 4.6L DOHC motor, fitting it between the strut towers will be really tight. The 4.6 only displaces 281ci, but the external dimensions are huge! The cylinder heads alone are massive in order to house the cams and the valve train. As far as power goes, yeah, they have a ton of potential, but you can build a high hp 5.0L/302 for a lot less, and not have the fit issues to deal with. That said, if you do it, post pics!
  18. He shoots... he scores!! Nice build!
  19. Way cool!!
  20. Nice build of something ya don't see everyday!
  21. Very nice, very clean!
  22. Looks fast, but i doubt it could outrun bullets... Where did the hood, wheels and intake come from?
  23. Nice conversion!
  24. Ye old spraybomber strikes again Nice build!
