  1. Would be great to simply use the resin engine & drivetrain from MFH's kit (if only the parts were available separately).
  2. Just saw the new Mclaren F1 model on HLJ website... http://www.hlj.com/product/FUJ12573/Aut Does anyone know any details? Looking at the pic it looks like there will be opening doors. Hopefully full engine detail, but who knows!
  3. Nice one!!
  4. Nice work Geoff. I have a Tamiya Mini in my collection waiting to be built, but now I think I'll have to get the Revell one. Its a niice kit and your doing a great job on it. By the looks of your prifile you're not a million miles away from where the 1:1 cars were originally built. Looking forward to seeing this one completed.
  5. A beautiful model of a beautiful car
  6. The Hasagawa XJS is a nice kit, but the underside really lacks detail. It has a moulded in gearbox and the suspension is simplified. Having said that, it does make a nice model - just maybe not as nice as those Fujimi EM kits. Agreed - the Fujimi Enthusiast models have the best detail I've ever seen. Even after 20 odd years I dont think anything rivels them for detail, however I do think some of Tamiya's latest stuff is coming very close (Enzo, Mclaren SLC, Ferrari 360).
  7. How good to see a 4-door. Nice build there Grzegorz.

    29A Tudor

Nice chop there Ian. looks perfect. How did you do the open chokes on the carbs? are they photoetched parts?
  9. I have both the new Revell kit and the Hasagawa one in my collection of 'yet-to-be built' models. They're both good kits, but the Revell has more detail + engine & opening doors, so this is the one that I will probably end up building (... someday).
  10. Thanks for that link Ron. Looks like another one of those 'Must-Have' kits, just like the Enzo. Time for me to raid my savings account!! Looks like I will need to budget for a load of carbon fibre decals too.
  11. Andy - That's gonna be a real nice custom. Can't wait to see it complete. Show us pics of the chassis mods when you've done them.
  12. The kit works out to about 260 GBP delivered in the UK. Thats about 390 dollars. I paid about the same for the Ferrrari Enzo kit. Yep - they are price kits, but probably the nicest I have ever seen. I would love to see a 288 GTO!!
  13. I searched this forum, but I can't see any reports on this kit yet. Has anyone seen the 1/12 scale Tamiya Porsche Carrera yet? I'm talking about the full assembly kit - not the semi-assembled one. I guess this is the next in the series after the Ferrari Enzo kit (which I'm the process of building already). I saw it at HLJ here... http://www.hlj.com/product/tam12050
  14. Looks really, really coool!

    68 Charger

Nice job Marcus. Good to see one of these on steel wheels! Did you use MCG photo etched 'Charger' scripts on the C pillars?
  16. Nice job. I thought it was 1/24 scale from the ics, but at 1/43 thats really impressive.
  17. Thats a real 'Mean Machine'. I'd love one in 1:1 scale! Imagine this coming up in your rear veiw mirror.

    50 Olds

I love the lines of the Olds. This looks great and very subtle. Those monster wheels really work well and the colour is perfect! What is it about the build that you were not too happy with. Looks fantastic in the pics.
  19. Nice one! I love those custom touches and nice deep paint.
  20. I have a Rosso 512TR and a Fujimi 512TR in my stash. They are the same kits in different boxes! I also have a Tamiya Testarossa and it has always been my intention to mix parts to build a full detail 512TR someday.
  21. what a cool idea
  22. Love this one. Nice clean build and a great colour.
  23. Holy smokes batman... Looks great!
