  1. Real, with some photo work.
  2. Great looking car. Nice detail work.
  3. That car is perfect. Attention to detail is incredible.
  4. I can't wait for this to be on the shelves. I had the Baker kit as a kid, and made a complete mess of it. I don't care if it's clear or opaque. I just want the opportunity to do it right. My experiance with clear plastic parts is they are brittle and don't like to be flexed. From years of watching original kits on e-bay with broken clear body parts, the opaque plastic (wish it was white) is probably the best solution. At least the collectors of original kits will be able to sell at exorbitant prices. I like it when the reissues devalue the old kits especially when the old kits are damaged or missing pieces.
  5. I have this kit, just not ready too commit. I'll watch for ideas.
  6. Looks good, and I too think the hood should be body color.
  7. Oh wow, Oh wow, Oh wow. When I saw the first pic of the 1/12 engine I thought you were being funny. Then I looked back at your first post, "Big Motor" literally. I've got to see the end results. Like an MPC Zinger.
  8. I used a Model Master spray paint I had left over, and decanted it for my airbrush. Used it right out of the can. I don't remember the color, because it was empty after I filled the bottle and threw it away.
  9. Looks good so far. I built the Monogram version years ago. I have built several AMT cars and othe than the tires, have always liked the results.
  10. Is that the planned box art or are you really good at graphics? I hope it's the former. I like it.
  11. I built that kit too, but don't have it anymore. I think if the mold still existed it would have been released again. I'd buy one if they did though.
  12. That color is awesome. It really pops in the sun.
  13. I like it, I like it.
  14. I love the color. Thse Pontiacs are great kits to build.
  15. What an amazing looking truck and boat. Great color choice.
  16. Great looking Falcon. I need to get one while they're still around.
  17. Beautiful! I have always loved whitewall piecrust slicks.
  18. Very cool, it always amazing how the imagination works on this forum.
  19. All that power to four wheels and a short wheelbase. And Gentlemen Dave Shubeck thought the Olds was handful. I can't wait to see how this ends.
  20. Great looking build so far. I need to pull this kit out and start building. So many kits that I need to build before I can't.
  21. Looks great!
  22. I have this same kit. All I can say is good luck, you'll need it. From some of your posts, I feel you will be able to get past all the shortcomings of this kit. I know the picture on the box was airbrushed, because nothing fits well on this kit. The front end coves do not match the body coves at all. If you had a solid body car I think it would be easier to cut it than to fix this body. Once again, good luck, and I'll be watching your progress.
  23. Great looking Chevelle. I have had this kit in my collection since the first issue. It's somewhere in the garage with about 200 more built, started and unbuilts. Some day I hope to have my own space to build and store models. By the way, your build space is very tidy compared to mine, and I just cleaned up.
  24. Wow, great builds and photography.
  25. Great looking cars, and welcome back to building. I love the Dart Phoenix. I want to build a 1960, because my dad had a beautiful red/white one when new. The roofline is spectacular for looking at the sky or cooking in the sun if you're in the back seat.
