  1. I love the color. Thse Pontiacs are great kits to build.
  2. What an amazing looking truck and boat. Great color choice.
  3. Great looking Falcon. I need to get one while they're still around.
  4. Beautiful! I have always loved whitewall piecrust slicks.
  5. Very cool, it always amazing how the imagination works on this forum.
  6. All that power to four wheels and a short wheelbase. And Gentlemen Dave Shubeck thought the Olds was handful. I can't wait to see how this ends.
  7. Great looking build so far. I need to pull this kit out and start building. So many kits that I need to build before I can't.
  8. Looks great!
  9. I have this same kit. All I can say is good luck, you'll need it. From some of your posts, I feel you will be able to get past all the shortcomings of this kit. I know the picture on the box was airbrushed, because nothing fits well on this kit. The front end coves do not match the body coves at all. If you had a solid body car I think it would be easier to cut it than to fix this body. Once again, good luck, and I'll be watching your progress.
  10. Great looking Chevelle. I have had this kit in my collection since the first issue. It's somewhere in the garage with about 200 more built, started and unbuilts. Some day I hope to have my own space to build and store models. By the way, your build space is very tidy compared to mine, and I just cleaned up.
  11. Wow, great builds and photography.
  12. Great looking cars, and welcome back to building. I love the Dart Phoenix. I want to build a 1960, because my dad had a beautiful red/white one when new. The roofline is spectacular for looking at the sky or cooking in the sun if you're in the back seat.
  13. Nothing to see here. I didn't have a fuelie intake and the hood barely opens due to the design of the hinges. It has the dual fours, but the motor is a poor representation of a small block Chevy. All of my cars end up in a large stack of plastic dispay cases and I'm pretty much the only one that ever looks at them. Here's a glimpse of the cars in their cases. I need to make another purchase from Pioneer plastics because I have about 24 diecasts and models collecting dust. A mix of models, diecasts and diecasts I repainted. A mix of Bill Elliott models, diecasts and diecasts I repainted. Finally, many thanks for the great comments. Almost everyone seems to appreciate the efforts and needs on this magazine's forum.
  14. My first completion of 2013 (started a couple months ago) and first build posted on this magazine's forum. It's a 1960 AMT Corvette (MPC 1960 Corvette) and It was almost left in the box when I started final assembly. I like the simplicity of some of the old kits, but the sloppy fit drives me nuts. No wonder when I built these things back in the seventies, they were glue bombs. I was very happy with the paint (first time success with an airbrush), so I soldiered on. The decals are VRM and I can't say enough about the quality and fit of these decals. The model is a representation of the real real racer and not an exact duplicate.
  15. Your choices sound and look great, I'll be following this build. I've had a couple of these kits in my stash for years. One will be Joe Weatherly's #8 NASCAR racer and the other stock. I have a few pictures for reference. I thought I could give you a hint about what the interior looks stock. If you look close, you'll realize the model interior is a convertible. AMT saving money back in the day because these were also used in their promos. The engine is a 427 FE (Ford Edsel) The super charger is a Paxton if I'm not mistaken.
