thnx for the great info ! , and the grille hmm i dont mind looks decent to me and i can make something cooler for it .. maybe the first thing i will do is give it a wash with black so i can see the design better .. cut out the headlights and make real lenses in there (i have a whole bunch in the partsbox) or even open up the center .. have been busy diy-ing in my house so have not come around to the van ... thnx again

whow thats just awsome , it almost got like a rendered look about it , all the lines are so crisp and straight and those rims .. it looks like a great 3-d rendering very difefrent from what i have ever seen in models and i love it , looks like a unique style to me awsome stuff -

stick with it .! my opinon is keep the rear tyres and try to find some smaller diameter white wall tyres for the front so its a tad lower in the front with a bit of rake .. would be awsome ..

ooh yeaahh awsome , noiw dont get me wrong love all your scratch builds but i have a deep passion for the old fords so thats why i asked , awsome to see your already into that
-
thnx and yes this will be bodydropped , not totally on the ground but like with the wooden sicks under it almost touthing the pavement:) cant find any reference pics of vans like this in this style , ut well dont really need it i think it will grow as i build drasticly cleaned the body , just compare to the first post all doorhandles and hinges are gone and all the trim is sanded flat . only left one body line along the sides to break it up a bit .. maybe i can even shorten the body a bit .... rear before and after

the next one is a dodge van , powerd by a chrysler v8 (according to the kit info) i really dont have thing for ambulances , great when you need them off-course and the guys do great work .. but build wise i dont feel inspired with that theme .. so we are going to use it to build a custom van the body itself is real great quality , its amt but man that cast is decnt !!! the boxart > main content , tehre is some more stuff but .. real weird the kit includes 2 bench seats and nowhere in the manual can you see bench seats , just 2 front seats and nothing in the rear section some mocking up woth different rims to get some ideas flowing could do a lip on fender look or take some old new beatle rims tirn them around and insert a corvette hub cap .. could determine the width of the lip myself in the end these for me looked best , white walls with hub caps , looks real classic

maybe later on i will make a trailer in the same style with this rod on it better vieuw of the rims , painted it matt black with a pinstriped lip in copper like on the roof good vieuw of the bed floor i made some better vieuws on the dash / interiour super close up with the chevy logo in the dash painted chrome with some chrome paint and a small wooden pin to apply the paint

hi , all just finished my chevy pick-up , tbh i need to do some minour details like taillights and a exhaust system .. but the rest is all done .. tails and exhaust will follow a bit later i think so here are some pics , will def make better ones soon the build thread > http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=73131 the boxart > revell undercarridge > engine and custom made distributor first end pics the bed floor is made from real wood and styrene strips , made a bed cover with custom paint on it

thnx doc , much apriciated just took some outdoors pics , but the weather is lousy , grey skyes .. but this weekend we should expect sun and 19 degrees here in holland so hope to make some sunny outdoor pics then , the copper should really pop then and some indoor pics fitted the coolant hoses , need to paint them flat black now to make some cool taillights .... and then its close to be posted in under glass just recieved a revell shelby cobra 427 s/c kit and some nice wheels and tyres i traded for 2 jap kits .. and man that kit is sweet .. may well be the first ever kit i will build how they intended it paint wise i def will do something i like rather then period and race correct but man that kit is soo sweet , also includes a tonneau cover and low windscreen .. vintage racer style ....will let that one sit for a while want to really take my time on that one ..
-
well that really brings it towards the usual in one go btw if you like those previous wheels just stick with it and dont let peoples opinions influence you .. irl i would not want to see the wheels you had on before but in a modelbuild i say yes go for it.. we need new and exiting things to keer the creative juices flowing

thnx guys !!! well its far from perfect there are enough flaws here and there paint wise , but in the end i'm happy with the result .. this one triggered something as well , def. will do more pick ups in the future .... loved this build now i have to finish the detail work ... the clear coat on the bed cover placed the kits brake servo , no lines included so i bend one from brass tube and painted it chrome window wiper partially painted chrome , the kit wipers didnt want to play ball so this wiper is from a jaguar xj 220 supercar lol coming together
-
well almost done , but still need to do details work 1. window wipers 2. doorhandles 3. make a exhaust system 3. small details in the bed , like toolbox or..... 4. make real nice endpics i actually never ever taped stuff or painted a real design , the bed cover was the perfect test part sprayed the bedcover and started assembly and soon it was sitting on its wheels undercarridge , all the work with painting the wheel well indised underside of cab and bed payed of , the chassi now really pops then i got a big smile , turned out my not well thought over design was actually really cool , just taped something without real thought .. i love how it ties in everything would be cool to get the copper ford on a trailer behind it !! and last clear coated the bed cover
