hi all , i started with this mercedes lieferwagen kit , and turned it into a rusted panelrod it was a quick thing only build 2 full days on it the boxart / kit , this kit was like this all separate , got it in a bigger stash buy the content i removed the rear arches and used revell 32 ford arches , made custom runing boards and cut the original front wings open ... then painted it old green and got it high gloss the paint was hard or so i thought ... when fitting the chassis and interiour i held the body with a cloth so i would not have fingerprints on the gloss ... in the end there was a slight imprint of the cloth structure in the paint because i had to aply pressure to the chassis for the glue to set .. some would have thought .. leave it and on pics it would not have been visible .. but i was like grrrr and in the end made the hood rusted ... then looking at it i felt the contrast was way to big , such high gloss and then a completely rusted hood .. that looked to forced so i just made the whole car rusted here is the end result the white walls are hand painted by me with enamel paint and got a wash over them , made the visor from styrene (old front bumpers) made a custom grille with v8 logo in the middle and some real mesh behind it and cut some lenses for the taillights the rear fender shape (the ducktale) dont start about that hahaha i hate it myself but i onl have 2 fenders left and they are both the same side , otherwise i would have lengthened them so they run through.. so yes the rear fenders look weird i know

awsome result , just great between the stance , axle in front , the pipes , roof and ... just really cool i made a slight remark aout the front wheels just a minute ago in on the workbench , could be easy to do still .. just read it there loving it

awsome , love the taillights !! really cool stance ..axle mounted like that is way cool that roof is stunning , pipes are great .. really digging this one in a way i think the front wheels could use something , maybe do that round center hub thing chrome or silver to break all the black .. that would make it more realistic

yes we have speedbumps but i dont care and i started on fast bikes , had 2 old model suzuki grxR's the ones with the round double headlight , a kawasaki zx7R with custom 3 peice lightweight wheels and tuned engine ... but a few years back i sold that and just didnt buy afast bike anymore .. i need my licensefor work and these days its just to riskfull .. you know what i mean .. so much speedtraps over here now .... before my son was born my wife always rode on the back , we always suited up and .... fun thing is in a car she always whines about speed and .. on the back of a bike she didnt mind how hard i went oohh the good old days .. this story makes me want to buy a fast bike again .. if i would it would be a naked version .. without the tub you wont be so tempted to go real fast ... real fast is anything above the 200 km/h mark ... the fasted i drove a bike was 290 km/h and the needle was tickking at the end of the dial .. that was the tuned kawa .. maybe it was like 300 km/h because when hitting the end of the dials it still pulled slightly a slight note to the above > that was on a completly empty highway on a sunday ... i never was the kind of guy to shoot through traffic and pull dangerous stunts .. driving a bike imo also means you have to use it wisely

man thats bad news .. keep having the strength to fight this awfull disease

mark i just typed like a massive story for you about the weathering that took me like 15 minutes and i hit reply , go to poor some coffee and its gone , not posted man ... this really sucks , typed so much about my weathering .. i will try to make a tut .. atm i'm like all that work and post is just gone i will make new sory sometimes but real quick , you know those cue tips you clean your ears with ?? buy a box of those .. take black enamel paint and when apllyed stick a cue tip in your mouth turn it so the hairs are smooth / moist (not wet) and rub off the paint or rub it out how you want it .. they have 2 sides so turn it around when saturated with paint and ... but always make it moist and turn it in your mouth , otherwise the hairy stuff comes of into your paint)

hmm very very nice kit !!!!

starting to come together ... placed the wheels , not done yet and added a goodguys festival decal on the back door maybe a idea for a wooden roof rack ? chrome hubcaps and added doorhandles cut 2 lenses to size to put on the fake looking casted taillights maybe this is also an option for a roofrack , weathered chrome in the garage here you see the tome is way lighter , it just depends how the light hits the rust then sat in the car to soak up the garage ambiance and then drove it on the lift to fiddle with the suspension set up a bit

thnx bill ! nu its getting some details going to boost realism made a mesh grille insert .. also on these pics you can see the v8 logo i made better ... better pics of the headlights with the weathering

well did some more work ... placed the headlight lenses and in the seem flowed some brown thin paint , the lenses themself got a mist of some yellow acrylic , now thats rubbed off and it just tones down the lenses but doenst look yellow cut a side window so its smaller and placed it rolled down a bit used one of the kit decals to see how a logo would look , actually looked nice buts its already off the car then modified some steelies ...not sure what color to paint them went for 4 of the same tyres and painted white walls on the other 2

thnx guys and well when all fails turn to rust .. that was actually my plan in the beginning but i ended up making it gloss .. and well i think the car just didnt agree ... today all the layers where dry and more matte , now i can see where i need to tone down the rust structure and maybe think about some slight colors .... the wheels will be redone looked terrible
