  1. nice what color is it going to be ?? green ? and does the kit include white striping decals ??
  2. cut the holes to make raised slylights on .. nice shadows .. some atmosphere pics with my 2 rustbuckets , this gives nice options for some cool picture shooting , love the shades dropping on the cars , you can schoose how to place them so some parts are highlighted and some are darker ...
  3. yes thats true .. now one thing is for sure i didnt think of the outside and this dio will never become nice to look at from the outside .. the next one i will make sure the outside is as nice as the inside ... but doing it that way i think would not matter for the outside look but inside it would not be nice enough .. my idea is to make those jagged styled skyelights and finish the inside with some wooden planks on top of the steel so when you make a picture inside you will see steel / wood and skyelights with light coming true sideways
  4. decided to make the roof removable and go for loads of industrial skylights the crosses are to get the center so every croff wil have a skylight
  5. oooh yeah going to get some popcorn post enough pics please
  6. thnx a lot guys !!!! and daniel coming from you thats a big compliment love your realistic dio work !!! well continued the frame and realised i def. need to make it removable or hinge it so the whole roof with beams can be opened .. i already noticed when taking pics a roof is actually holding you back a lot ..and yes now the details show less so i'm thinking of that atm.. would be cool to closed it up and then make roof skylights in the roof , like those raised industrial looking ones .. so when the roof is on natural light comes in true the roof
  7. awsome job looks great , awsome atmosphere
  8. thnx bill ! started on some roof steel , got these free strips , dont know what they where for but i have a lot of those made a start then doubled up and made it thicker , a h profile from styrene would be nicer but that would not be cheap and this stuff was free. now i also like to use old stuff and recycle stuff so this was perfect keeping it removable put a wooden plate on top to see how it would be closed up with a ceiling , just for a test.. its making the whole dio very dark and takes away a lot of sight on everything.. now one idea would be to make a closed ceiling but with hinges so it can open up as well and maybe make the steel supports against that so you can open up the whole roof and have a open dio as a base coat i sprayed it with alu spray
  9. thnx and well another update then ?? started ading the tools on the benches , in the toolbox etc , also put a tape recorder / player in the hanging cabinet and beside the mill i put a extension cord some pics with light true the windows and just overall the truck also fits , need to continue that one still
  10. very cool !! looks great next time remove the hairs on a model before taking pics
  11. really cool !!
  12. your the man !!!!!!! came out absolutly stunning awsome idea's and skills > top notch
  13. maybe just a rim with a little bit more depth ? or try to give these steelies a slight wash .. like not so they get weathered or dirty but to ad some depth ... in a way when i kept looking at the model the wheels just looked less realistic then the rest .. everything else looked soooo good .. what i would really think would look good are slightly deeper steelies with those older style tyres .. what i would try if this was my model is keep the steelies you have now in that color but with a slight wash in the deep eareas (see pics below) btw it was not ment as a negative comment but just something i felt i wanted to mention because i just felt wheel wise you could really get a even better result so all ment in a real positive way i had some cool rims and tyres from a '56 chevy stepside pick-up from revell on my last build ..those where all chrome but i also gave those a wash in the deeper parts and that really brought them alive before a wash all chrome (in your case painted) on the car after a wash with some black and here is one of my earlyer builds what i believe to be the same steelies , (or almost the same) came out of this revell kit used on the dan finks speedwagon kit > i washed those slightly and made the little bolts chrome , i know these steelies are real flat with a wash they just come to life hey and if you like your wheels just keep them like that
  14. you can find it on the web , its called bumtop and can be downloaded i do know these days its harder to find .. cant remember where i got it
  15. just read this ... good to see your at home .. hope you will recover well and the smoking .. pfft i know wish i had a backbone and could quit .. but i'm a weak ...... anyway stay well , greetings from holland
  16. sorry but thats just to expensive for what you get .. if you really really want to have this as a model that bad and have the money to spend alright .. but for me 300 dollar is just insane .. imagine how much cool kits you could buy with that
  17. nice lighting ! thats next on my agenda , i do need to make roof support beams first going to make the same style lights as you did but then hanging
  18. thnx guys !! and did that with the desk but then it didnt look as nice as how its sitting now .. also with the stuff on the desk like the phone , camera and magazine its nicer to look at this way also thats all gued in place now sooo today i dint feel 100% , not sick nut also not .. didnt feel like building (rare for me:P ) so in the morning i just cleaned the fujimi tools from sprue residue and painted the lot chrome .. also painted a extention cord and floor jacks , those need more layers
