Hi thanks for all your comments have bought some auto interior vinyl paint for it to try to get more of an authentic look. Just a matter of interest when I was sanding the paint I had accidentally got some dish-washing liquid on the wet and dry and to my surprise the section came out so much better than using just water I finished the whole body using it. Was it just luck or has anyone else used this method cutting back their paint work. Cheers and thanks again.

Hi completed this one when it was first released but over the years the decals started peeling and looked a bit worse for wear. Had another kit that I didnt need the decals so ended up stripping and soaking the body in water to remove the decals. Polished the body and ended up painting the blackouts instead of using the decals for a cleaner look. Sanded back, polished, bmf and got the rest of the decals on then a couple of clear coats. Light sanding back then polished again and the body is close to being finished. Stripped the interior and am about to repaint. Left the motor how I built it all those years ago as it was the first detailed engine I built. Changed the front rims for ones I found in my parts box and replaced the rear slicks as I thought the original ones looked a bit small. Everything is just in mock up at the moment but hope to have it finished by the weekend. Cheers and thanks for looking

Hi this is my take on the bantam blast. Started this one about eight years ago and never got around to finishing it. Still need to finish wiring, some fuel lines, paint detailing, final glue and assembly. Used parts box rims and tires and also found the headers in the parts box. Will post completed pics when its all assembled and complete. Cheers and thanks for looking

Hi started this one a few years ago and thought it was time to start finishing off some of my models that I have on the go. Painted in dupicolor rattle can, slight rub back with wet and dry and bmf. Still waiting for the weather to fine up so I can clear coat it. Working on the interior at the moment, in the classic black and white and hope to have pics of it up tonight. Cheers and thanks for looking

Hi thanks for all your comments and nick thanks for pointing it out thats its a 41, Was unsure about the colour but against the chrome looked good to me and looks like its a hit with everyone else. Was thinking of doing the interior red but any suggestions most welcome. Cheers

Hi been working on this off and on the last couple of years. Have installed a 426 hemi instead of the kit motor and have cut the chassis using the front chassis and suspension from the gasser kit and mated it to the rear chassis and suspension of the pro street kit. Have painted and bmf it but yet to clear coat it. Cheers and thanks for looking.

Hi Ron wicked build will be watching to the end. -
Hi Tyrone this is coming along awesome. If only I had half your skills I would be happy,
-
Hi Stan this is coming along real nice. Always a pleasure watching your builds and learning along the way.

Hi thanks everyone for your comments. Been thinking about the build and decided to go blown and injection set up on either a 426 hemi or a 429 ford set up. Have mocked up a set of wheelie bars also. Stan saw your build and am very impressed I had used the same on a thames van couple of picks added but dont really like the solid rear set up. Just a couple of shots showing how its coming along. Cheers and thanks for looking.

Hi Miles think the motor was a fuel injected olds. Have had the kit since 2003 and first started back then parts binning the parts i didnt need but as with all projects i have they seem to get put back to the back of the cupboard and i end up starting something new.

Hi been mocking up this one now for a couple of weeks. Have made up some tubs for the rear end and am using a modified willys pro street chassis. Will most likely use a hemi for motivation but unsure about induction. Just a few mock up pics at the moment. Cheers and thanks for looking

Killer build as usual always look forward to seeing your builds and the detail you put into them

Hi thanks everyone for your responses seems I may be on the right track with this build. Have made a few more mods on the rear end to get it down a bit lower so there is not as much rake. Think it gives the car a better overall look but now have to raise the rear floor section so the ladder bars fit properly. The joys of modifications. Cheers and thanks for looking
-
Hi just another small update. Mocked up the rear end and had to modify the ladder bar mounts and shocker locations to space the rear end back to centre the rims. Cheers and thanks for looking

Hi just a small update have been working on opening up the boot and modifying the ladder bar set up due to breaking the original ones. Have made them longer than the original and made up brackets on the diff housing to mount the top arms. Just in mock up at the moment nothing glued as Im thinking of removing the shocks and making or modify the originals. Cheers and thanks for looking.

Thanks Jade043 and DeeCee. Dont know what happened to the pics slusher but have now got them back up again. Have opened up the trunk lid and hope to have some pics up soon. Cheers

Hi been working on this now for the past couple of days and have it at the mock up stage. Am using a modified christine chassis and am converting it to a twin plug hemi. Not too sure about the rims at this stage but was thinking possibly black body keeping all the original chrome trims and fluro orange rims and cage/chassis set up. My other idea was using the sox and martin decals and paint as a what if. Will see what happens as i go along. Cheers and thanks for looking

Hi just a small update. Have modified the dash assembly so it now fits inside flush with the firewall and have remove some plastic from the top of the firewall so now everything sits nice and flush within the body of the challenger. Have had to remove and shorten and modify the top of the rollcage to fit within the challengers roof line and should be finished soon. Have also removed the door trims from the interior tub and have modified them to suit the tubs which makes for a much better interior look. Am in the process of mocking up a hemi for it but still undecided what motor i will go for. Cheers and thanks for looking

Excellent work Stan and really like the attention to details you add on your builds. Turning out to be one bad ass ride -
Hi thanks for the feedback. Been working on the motor and have decided to use the jukebox bottom end and heads but decided to scratch up some valve covers which still needs work to finish off and go single carb for that different look. Undecided if i will keep this manifold or try to scratch one up, depends how keen i get. Cheers and thanks for looking

Hi stripped this challenger over the past couple of nights which started as a box stock build. Since I have another one to replace it decided to modify it. Have cut out the engine bay, firewall and have installed a 55 jukebox ford chassis and floor pan. Only slight mods to the rear of the floor pan and so far perfect fit and yet to see if the cage suits otherwise its scratch building time. Going to keep the paintwork as its in really good shape, will replace the decals with a new set, bmf and clear coat the body. My delema is what motor set up I should use as I want to keep everything under bonnet any ideas most welcome. Cheers Steve

Hi John these look wicked. Have one on the go at the moment being built as pro streeter.

Hi Mark dont worry have a thunderbird pro stock rear end and floor pan going in soon. Just in mock up at the moment so i can see what needs doing. Thanks Rob should have some updates soon. Have a 340 small block that will be going in shortly. Cheers
