  1. Hi Al seems your as bad as me. No sooner I start a project Im either stripping one or starting another new project. Hope to get back to the coronet soon have been working on a transporter using the dodge little red express and the wedge transporter kit to haul around my mopars. Hoping to find a L700 dodge so I can hook it up to my amt/matchbox early car carrier also. By the way have twin 5 year olds, a 16 year old and wife, work for myself, find the time being a night owl generally dont get to bed till 3 or 4 am. Cheers
  2. Hi decided to add another build to the list while ideas for the coronet come to me. Started a 64 plymouth belvedere as a glue bomb, stripped paint and modified a 70 coronet pro street chassis. Going to use the original 426 with minor mods and stock body work and interior. Used the rims from the dodge daytona kit and parts box tyres Wanted the look of being original until you see the rear end. Cheers and thanks for looking.
  3. Hi found these hiding away in the back of my cupboard after a cleanout so a few more to add to the to do list. Cheers and thanks for looking.
  4. Hi Ray can you let me know about the hex beads as i have been to noarlunga and edwardstown branches and they don't stock them. Was going to start and hit the craft shops but might wait to see if you have success. The dio needs some repairs but with so many builds have put it off, also want to add two more kits to it so it takes up one of my shelves. Cheers
  5. Hi guys thanks for the positive feedback. The paint isn't a factory colour as here in Australia its hard to get factory colours in rattle cans. The paint i use is exclusively dupi-color rattle can (automotive) paint and have had a very good success rate using it opposed to some of the model paint rattle cans i have used in the past. Another bonus is that i can use my meguires polishes on them that i always have on hand without buying other polishes>cheers
  6. Hi guys thanks for all the positive feedback. Have still got the coupster unbuilt in the box waiting for its turn and should come out better than this one now knowing a lot of the tricks of the trade. Cheers
  7. Hi Ray nice to know someone else on the forum from my side of the world and even just a stones throw away. As you can see im heavily into mopars and by looks of it your into the gm products by your profile picture. Just a question was it you that had those models for sale on eBay last week? Just curious as i was going to bid but didn't get home in time and the auction ended. Could have kicked myself for missing out. Just another quick question were do you source your stuff from as i only know of model mania and the hobby habit on daws road down this way, but even they are getting expensive these day especially when your using two or three kits to make one. I get my braided line, plug wires and fittings from spotlight though , amazing what you can find there to use. Cheers
  8. Thanks guys for all of the positive responses to the 65 coronet, makes me want to finish it off but as they say patience is a virtue and hate rushing things. Cheers
  9. Hi Tom colour is beige and semi gloss black to simulate the vinyl roof. From memory from plasti-cote it was all i could afford back then being still in school but surprisingly came out nice. Cheers
  10. Thanks Bart for pointing it out. Have had the kids harassing the hell out of me when posting and had my 68 dart that im building on my mind. Cheers
  11. Hi these were the first model cars that i built, being given them as the double kit, which was when the kit was first available and have still held up all these years. Built from the box and no clear coat even the decals are still remarkably in very good shape. Cheers and thanks for looking.
  12. Another of my old builds which i havent seen too many around. Built from the box and was my first experiance with bmf, never even knew it exsisted, as it was supplied in the kit. Cheers and thanks for looking.
  13. Hi another of my old builds built straight from the box. Has a decal issue but will remedy in time with a new decal and clear coat. Never thought about clear coating back in those days how simple life was back then. Cheers and thanks for looking.
  14. Here is another old build of a 66 dodge charger i built a very long time ago. Cheers and thanks for looking.

    wagon rod

Hi just a few pics of the wagon rod i built when it first came out and is box stock. As you can see it was built in my infancy of modelling. Cheers and thanks for looking.
  16. Just a quick update on how the coronet is going. Work been slow due to school holidays but back to school next week cant wait. Wasn't happy with the fuel tank so have made up another and have made up the side panels for the trunk. Have also mocked up the battery and nos bottle in the trunk as-well just to see how everything fits. Have also decided on a change of rims to give it a more uniformed and modern look. Mocked up the dohc hemi to see how she looks and have added the scoop from the dick landy charger kit trying to keep it all mopar. Long weekend coming up so with a bit of luck will be able to give it a bit of paint if i can figure what colour scheme i will go for possibly black roof with white body. Cheers and thanks for looking.
  17. Hi shaun its the lindberg little red wagon kit
  18. hi a few pics of my A100 basically in the mock up stage. Changed grill, added parts box rims and tyres, smoothed body and adding efi to the hemi. Also have installed later model camaro rear end to get it low enough to the ground. Cheers and thanks for looking
  19. Hi heres another 40 willys on the build. This one is being built out of the box except for rims and scoop. Have interior, some paint and wiring/plumbing to finish off. Cheers and thanks for looking
  20. Hi heres a few pics of a 40 willys pro street i have on the build. Replaced the hemi with a hemi from the gtx kit, added parts box carbs and air filters. Replaced rims and tyres with parts box items and now awaiting interior, clear coating and final assembly. Cheers and thanks for looking
  21. Hi just posting a few pics of a vw van i have on the build. Cheers and thanks for looking
  22. Hi this one is probably not for the die-hard but a more modern take on the 40 willys gasser for the street. Started with the pro-street kit and a big john kit gasser. Cut the front chassis off the gasser and also removed the pro-street front chassis and grafted the gasser front to the pro-street chassis. Opened up the trunk and have added a fuel cell and battery. Filled the hole where the scoop used to poke through. Interior wise have chosen later model buckets with the gasser door cards which both have very similar patterns and still retaining the old school look. I have used a 426 hemi from the sox and martin kit and added a cross-ram manifold with a couple of big carbs. Found some rims and tires from the parts box and have basically mocked it up to see how it looks. Cheers and thanks for looking
