My Grandfather had a 57 chevy 210 in high school. He always tells me stories of how he used to go cruize and occasionaly race. He had it painted Nassau Blue when he got it, but sold it long before I was born.

A while back I saw some of the first episodes and they were awesome! More about the bikes and less about the drama! With the old cameras it looks like it was shot through a cell phone or something. Sad to see the show go, but it just isn't the same as it was before.

Thanks guys. I thought about the paint for a while, and even though it is nowhere near the correct Mclaren color, it is as close as I could get it. I just sprayed testor's chrome silver over a gloss black base coat, then followed it up with a few coats of clear. After the decals were on, I added a few more coats of clear so I could polish it out. The color looked better before since the clear made it more of a "silver" than a "chrome", but I knew with all of the handling necessary for the decals that the silver would have to be protected. Hope this answers your questions. I have also heard of people covering the entire car in Bare Metal Foil, but I am nowhere near good enough with that stuff to attempt that.

Great build, it looks like it came out nice. I built this kit a while back as well, I just drove myself crazy hacking it apart and trying to make it a stock charger!

Here are some more pics of my Mclaren MP4-25. This is the new revell kit and it goes together great, just a bit difficult getting the body to mate with the chassis. This one took a long time because of all the decals, they can definately be frustrating! I added some aftermarket carbon fiber to the areas that are not included on the kit decal sheet, but other than that it is right from the box. Enjoy!

Here are some pics of my Revell 57 Chevy. The paint is Boyd's pearl orange with one coat of clear orange over that, followed by multiple coats of straight clear. It's amazing how much the lighting changes the look of this paint. Hope you guys enjoy! Interior: Outdoor pics: Indoor pics:
