Yep, those are the rims to going to use. They're about as close as I can get I think. Thank you Dennis!

Thanks Rob! Nice Formula, they were always my favorite. Yep, I've got one but it's much to small, it was made for the MPC 1/25 Blackbird Trans Am. I just started working on this kits hood to turn it into a Formula hood. The shaker cut out has been sealed up. As soon has the glue hardens up a little more I'll start getting putty on it to smooth it out.

Thanks Marshall! Yep, the body work is taking a fair amount of time to get right. Thank you ShredHippie, yes this new kit has really good detail, I like it too. I'll have to do another one for myself someday.

Very nice work, perfect color!

A real smooth hand and perfect clean road too, one little rock and it'll literally go flying in the sky. I know, it happened my mine at around 40mph. It went 3 feet air born then summer salted for like 10 feet, it was both spectacular and horrifying at the same time. Luckily it's flight path was into grass, only the body which was brand spanking new received minor damage.

Beautiful car, love them old Dodges. -
I'm using the same playbook I think lol. Looks great by the way, paint sounds good. Here's a couple of photos for my two main entries. The Dart's colors are on awaiting decals and round one of body work for the Formula.

TFchronos replied to TFchronos's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Update with colors, Inferno Red and Gloss Black. I wanted to include a picture of my Forza 4 Dart I'm making this after but don't have any pics on my PC of it so I'll have to check my storage hard drive. Thanks for looking! -

Thanks you guys! Here's the hinge set up for both door and trunk. The hinges are made out of standard size paper clips. Doors: Please note this picture is of the right door. The following pictures are of the left door, being the one I could get apart for showing. -
Round 1 body work cont.Everything was replaced with sheet styrene cover with the stuff I've had the best luck with Bondo brand spot putty. Thanks for looking!

This build here is a tribute build to a car my Dad owned, a '77 Firebird Formula. He found it at small time dealer back in the late 80's, did a lot with it and has so many stories he could go on forever talking about it. He sold it just before I was born in '90 for a more "family friendly" car. Of all the cars he has owned this is the one car that if he could go back and save only one from his past it would this one. So I thought I would try to build it and surprise him with it on the morning of Dec. 25th. I'll be taking the Revel Smokey and the Bandit Trans Am and converting it over to a close a replica as my skill level will let me. Here's what it looked like, one of the many, many places he went in that car too. That's what I'm trying to match, here's what I'm starting with. First round of body work, after covering the T-tops, side vents and cutting way the wheel flaps. More pics in the next update.

I don't mind 4 doors at all, never really got why so few like them. -
Nice work! See you at the starting line.

I like Rob's '72 theme idea the most but I'm down for whatever next years is though.
