Very nicely done!

Thanks! I'm going to and make a wire mesh grille, I've got a interesting yet simple idea for it that I'd like to keep secret until I get it mounted.

Beautiful work! All your hard work really shows, it's a stunner. -
Thanks fellas! Got the black polished down last Sunday and started spraying the Mirror Chrome Tuesday and got the Clear Coat on Yesterday so paint is done. I did try taking various grits of sand paper over a hidden area to try and replicate the scratched metal look. Unfortunately that didn't turn out well so I'm scraping the idea, my Dad's very happy with how it looks right now so I'll be leaving it alone. One change I think I'll make is painting the rims Metallic Grey, I think it'll compliment the finish a little better plus Black rims are pretty common, I haven't seen many around with grey. Pictures: right after chroming. Clear coated from today. Next is the Interior I think, the clear is still a little sticky so I'll be letting it sit for a week to cure. Thanks for looking!

^ Nice! Yeah, I have to agree about themes Rob. Even though there's not as many builders with this one it's still a nice change up. I'm happy we went with it. As for next year I've got it narrowed down to 2 candidates. I'll either be doing a Hellcat Challenger or a Ferrari F-50, two more dream cars among many others. Long time coming, finally some progress. Work on the front of the body. Expanded the wheel wells a little (might try finding slightly smaller tires so I didn't want to make them too big). Also cut and expanded the front fenders a little. I want a far amount to ground clearance but I don't want it too high either. -

Having a ton of trouble posting anything at all, please bare with me while I try to get the rest of this posted. The reason I'd like to do it this way is even though the "None of The Above" was a brilliant idea and for the most part a lot voters abided by it there where still quite a few last year that didn't follow and voted for 1 from every group and others that voted in 2 or 3 groups and snubbed the rest. I was cool with folks voting for one in each group (each build deserved each vote they got) but the snubbers skipping some groups got on my nerves so I'd like to avoid that this time around. I don't mind setting up a couple of poll threads if it means that doesn't happen, I want this to be as far as humanly possible for everyone here. -

Looking good Dennis and Matthew! Not sure why but I haven't been able to post anywhere on the site for the past few days from my computer so I'm trying a different computer. Work is officially under way with mine, things are finally letting up (like last year) got a good hit on it this weekend. Will be posting some progress pictures soon. I think it bares noting that there are only 38 days left until the end and if I'm not mistaken there's not one officially completed build yet. I know Helix's Corolla was close to done but I don't think he's made it official yet. Not that I have much ground to stand on myself but let's get cracking! It's not every year we make our antics another country's problem. Anyway as for the end game here. I'll be starting a finished build thread on the 10th for everyone to post their finished builds to. Everyone has until 11:59pm Dec 1st to finish their build. Anyone who completes more than one build will need to select the one they want to be used for voting (1 driver, 1 car). The voting thread will be started Monday Dec 5th, depending on how many entries are completed will determine how the vote will be set up. If we only have enough for 1 group (5 cars) then it'll be one voting thread run for three weeks, winner takes all. If we have more than 5 then we'll do 2 rounds of voting. Round one for 2 weeks to determine the top 5 then another round for 1 week to determine the overall winner. -

A okay with me. I was going to hit you up about it in November and see you wanted to. Finding this cbp 5 years ago is one of the things that got me back into building. Super glad too, I've had a real blast each year building my stuff and watching all the talented people here build their's. Thanks for starting this cbp Rob! I intend to be apart of it for as long as I can. -

Nice progress you two! Starting to think I'm cursed, just when I think I have a few minutes to work on mine something else comes up. -
Yep, I've used Mirror Chrome on a couple of things before and a smooth high gloss black finish is key. I'm in the process of polishing the body smooth, after that's done I'll start spraying the mirror chrome.

I can't imagine what you are going through Harry my and my families thoughts and prayers are with you. I'm 150% positive you will beat this. Best wishes

I thought full roll cages were for additional safety. But I imagine as Rob said it's mostly to keep race cars off the road Good spot Dennis, I didn't see that skimming through it back in Dec.- Jan. I'll put extra care into whatever I do for a roll cage. -
Thanks fellas! Update time (finally) Got the engine situated and sprayed Flat Black then Gloss Black on the body in preparation for the Spaz Stix Chorming. The roof piece did wrinkle so I'll have to sand and re-spray that, Thankfully it's a separate piece from the body. Thanks for looking!

I believe it, everywhere you turn folks are looking a smart phone. Don't have one myself and I'm 26 haha. I prefer to stay focused on the task at hand and paying attention to what's around me when I'm out and about.

Nice work Larsen. Yeah it's always quite around this cbp until the last two or so months then everyone's in a mad dash to finish (guilty of that myself lol). Got a donor kit (Jeep Rubicon) and finally made it over to a hobby shop to pick up some styrene so I should be starting mine pretty soon.
