Hobby Town in Mt Juliet is a very well stocked store for kits, bottle and spray paints. If you go there you will not be disappointed. You do not want to warm a can in boiling water because heating the can so quick with that hot of water can cause the paint inside to heat so quick it can explode. Just filling a container of hot water out of the tap and letting the can sit for a min or two is more than enough. I hate to get my cans wet because the labels fall off and a bigger problem is i have had water leak out from behind the label after drying it off and it landed right on my body while painting. Sucks when your spraying a metallic or pearl.

Cold paint, paint applied too quick and no primer could have caused your problems. Im 20 miles from you and i started painting today at 10 am so i would rule that out. I heat my paint and the parts im painting with a hair dryer before i step out side and normally dont have a problem unless the wind is just howling.

The voting was done by a group of 6 judges, only one was from our club (our club is 98% military). I was judging figures and SciFi. Several things were against us mainly the Atlanta show was just last week. I didn't see a single person from the Atlanta or Birmingham clubs, 1 person from Chattanooga was there. I really hate the fact the awards went to one person but I had the only entries in the open wheel class, the only 2 entries in the closed wheel class, 1 of 3 in the curbside class, 1 of 3 in the Misc class. Last year no members won anything in the automotive class so "home cooking" can be thrown right out the window. I only entered so many to help boost the entries in the classes, in no way did i expect to win with anything except my 32 Ford. I hate to say it but i think i will just quit entering shows, I spend months building my models, painting, buffing to a semi flawless shine, doing wiring and plumbing in the engine bays, as much photo etch as i can without making the car look cheapened by it, antennas and even valve stems and people get pissed when my cars beat theirs. Really kills building models for me......had i not been a member of the club people would still have complained. IDK but i wish i never would have even entered now..

I think all the finished models should be in the Under Glass section. Builds can go in their own sections.

Maybe the judge is giving him enough rope to hang himself with. You know let him dig a hole just deep enough that the courts can step in and do something about whats happening. Hope it all works out for you. -
Tamiya decals might as well be stickers because once the hit the body that's where they stay!

Welcome! I am in Lavergne TN. We have a club in Cookeville that meets at the library the 3rd Saturday of the month and a club in Murfreesboro that meets the first Monday @ 7pm. We would love to have you! Both are on facebook, Murfreesboro is IMPS Middle Tennessee and Cookeville is Middle Tennessee Modelers Association -
If that was true no decal would stick on polished paint. I do all my buffing and polishing before decals are applied.

That's what i ordered too. My show i was needing them for is in 15 days. The way he handled the problem was sad. I still have the exchange of emails. Just beware of him.

He never would give me an answer when i told him several times that the address he sent me was not mine and refused to send me the tracking number. Guy is a fraud and i hope ebay boots him. The Ebay rep i talked to told me they had more than a handful of complaints about his shipping practices.
