Seasonal Painting Problem!
jrherald420 replied to 1hobby1's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I have also done that Carl. I use a hair dryer to heat the plastic and paint then run outside spray one coat then put it in a warm place to flash off then repeat. Problem is you have to be quick. I have 2 cars in my collection that i have painted and cleared outside when it was 30 degrees that i have won awards with. -
Seasonal Painting Problem!

Get several body's painted for the winter. -
Hmm i dont have that PM in my inbox.
-
Interesting. Wonder how that happened?
-
They look good. My only two suggestions would be the panel lines are too dark and you might try some Tamiya clear red over the taillights. I did it to mine and it looks a lot better.
-
Really? Wonder why? I had 3 re builders that all had them, they were the first runs of the kit. Very odd.
-
Very nice build of a not so great made kit. The rake of the windshield is the reason I sold off all of mine. Really kills the look of the car for me.

Thanks guys! I dug into the photoetch and aluminum parts stash and got the rims, rotors, brake calipers, valve cover bolts, Alt bracket and fan, pedal covers, distributor coil and ignition key+ chain. A buddy had a P/E kit for the 32 and i used the grill and licence plate surround from it. The grill sets it off for me! I would have used a Model Cars Mag but i only have Scale Auto and a few hot rod type magazines printed out right now. I did not plan on building it this way, it kinda just came to life on its own!

That upright that looks like the vent window is only there to support the windshield frame. It should be cut off.
