I just had to file a complaint against him because after 27 days i still had not got a decal set from him. Emailed him 3 times each time he told me they were sent to an address 3 states away that i never lived at. Ebay ruled in my favor. Also found out he would charge people for priority mail and send it 1st class. Ebay got on to him about it and now he offers free shipping.

Im hooked on 1/43! Its a nice break from full detail kits! I can bang one out in 2 days easy. I am going to start on my 2nd Monogram Cobra soon. Going to make it a racer and make a roll bar and do plug wires. That green is a great matching color for the Cobra! I was lucky to buy about 45-1/43 race cars from a fellow club member for 200.00. Lots of good stuff but i got rid of all the white metal stuff. Ive got alot of 956's and BMW M1's to build!

I simply buffed my glass with Novus #2 and it cleared them right up.

I use the cheap AJAX orange smelling dish soap (.99 cents), warm water and a old toothbrush. -
Thanks they have been a blast. The next Cobra i build will also have a 5 point harness.

Thanks, the phone camera does good but it does not catch the shine.

I need to get better pictures, I polished this one for close to 3 hours to get almost a flawless shine.

Thanks for the kind words guys, I would have put a Model Cars mag on the floor but im out of them......at least its got a 32 on the cover!! The tires are the one thing i dont like about it. They came from a friend who built street rods in the 90s. The tires are glued to the rims so they stayed, they are not bigger than the rears. The rear tires are wider than the fronts. I do wish that i would have put the front tires in a little more but i didnt. This was only a 3 week build and I had a set in stone deadline to finish it for the contest.

Thanks guys! The Cobra is Fathom Green Metallic (1996 GM color) and the Daytona Cobra is Flame Red (1965 GM color), both are from Model Masters.
-
The one thing that drives me nuts is the tire tread doesn't match. Tried to change them but he glued the tires to the rims. I ripped out the center trying to get them off. Had i known i was going to go this far with it i would have used embossing powder as carpet.

I got these wheels from a friend who used to build cars in the 90's but quit and started building armor. I had no clue what i was going to use them on but the looked good on this car and the steering wheel matches so i built off of those. Kinda just fell in place.

Been working on some of my small scale stuff here lately. The Cobra is done but the Daytona needs a few things touched up on it before it heads to the next club meeting. The Daytona Cobra is from Starter. All resin with Vacuum formed windows and P/E parts. This one was kinda costly, got lucky and won it for 48.00 shipped on Ebay. They normally go for around 60-80.00. The Cobra is from Monogram, built box stock. Fun build but the chrome was less than steller. One side of the tree was missed completely missed and all the parts were only half way plated. Got lucky since i have several of these in my stash. Next one will be a stripped down racer so i wont need good chrome. 20141024_221352 by jrherald420, on Flickr 20141024_221343 by jrherald420, on Flickr 20141024_221416 by jrherald420, on Flickr 20141024_221201 by jrherald420, on Flickr 20141024_221106 by jrherald420, on Flickr 20141024_221241 by jrherald420, on Flickr 20141024_221230 by jrherald420, on Flickr 20141024_221040 by jrherald420, on Flickr

Here is the 32 Ford i built for my club build. This was not how i was going to build it but it works! Several turned aluminum parts as well as some P/E parts. Paint is 1996 Viper GTS blue pearl. Oh i won 1st place in the club build with it. Got some valve stems coming in the mail for the rims. Enjoy the cell phone pictures! 20141019_104142 by jrherald420, on Flickr 20141019_104037 by jrherald420, on Flickr 20141019_104304 by jrherald420, on Flickr 20141019_104112 by jrherald420, on Flickr 20141019_104230 by jrherald420, on Flickr 20141019_104011 by jrherald420, on Flickr 20141019_104327 by jrherald420, on Flickr And they went ALL OUT on the award...............................lol 20141019_102744 by jrherald420, on Flickr

Seasonal Painting Problem!

Isn't that the truth! I hate painting in the summer here. -

I will take 2! That's pretty cool!

More than likely 1/35 scale. I bought several things from a fellow club member that is made by this company. Lots of usable stuff.
