  1. I "paint" the area with white glue or paint and sprinkle it on and let it dry for a half hour or so before dumping the excess back off. I them blow off the strays and cover it with a dull coat to seal them and keep strays from coming off and sticking inside.
  2. You bet. I will buy any color I see marked down for that reason.
  3. I will sometimes use it for the look and spray it a different color to suit what I want.
  4. They still do but it's cheaper at HL. It's in the stamp isle at both places.
  5. Embossing powder is in the Isle with the stamps. Mine has 2 racks one on each side of the Isle.
  6. Yes, this was not a fun process at all to do. This is the 4th house we have bid on and the 2nd one we have been under contract for. I understand why people never move from their first home.

  13. Its got to be the Matchbox brand. I have all the others. I want to find a set so i can scan them and have more printed, we have someone local with an Alps printer.
  14. Yes that is exactly what i was talking about. Making it a full detail would be some work but man that would be cool!! I have 2 of the Cobras and one of the Corvettes. I say it might be a long term project due to the size but i would love to see it!
  15. IDK man, 10.00 on a sheet of BMF and save hours of my life is worth it. I cut my BMF into strips and i have used the same sheet on 8 cars now and still have about an 1/8 of a sheet left. The car looks good, keep trying new things and you will find what works for you.
  16. I have been thinking about getting that one and using the wheels from the 32 ford diecast roadster on it.
  17. Thanks guys. I just found a little base i bought awhile back at HL im going to make for it. Nothing much but better than it just sitting on the shelf. I might get a tag made for it also.

  20. The engine block and monocoque are die cast, the suspension is photoetched and the rest is injection molded plastic. Mine is not the best but i manage. Figure might as well build 1/43 while i still have the vision and somewhat steady hands to do it.
  21. Thank you I have big fat sausages for fingers. lol
  22. Just finished this big guy. Pretty fun build. Kit is made by Rosso. Took about 10 hours over the course of 3 days. Decals took about 2 hours of that time. 20140523_131554 by jrherald420, on Flickr 20140523_131621 by jrherald420, on Flickr 20140523_131652 by jrherald420, on Flickr 20140523_131744 by jrherald420, on Flickr
