That is exactly what they do. Unless they sit and no one is buying them, then they get another 10% off. Only good thing is if they are something you want, then you can buy them all instead of one per day like normal.

Thank you. Keep an eye out tomorrow for a 1/43 Ferrari 642 F1 i will be finishing tomorrow afternoon. I only have the tire and rim decals left to do. Pretty sick little car to build.

Lost a mirror? Sounds like battle damage!
-
Im sure it was the 67 Foose Coronet. They blew them out at all 3 of the Hobby Lobby's that i go to.
-
Well the Chevelle didnt turn out so good......well it did in till the windshield went in. The windshield posts snapped and the windshield ended up covered in CA. Sucks too because i had the paint polished to a mirrored finish and the foil work came out great. I just tossed it back in the box. I have not started the Torino yet but yesterday i did build a 1/43 Ferrari F1 car, just have to decal it and i started an Airflix Ford Focus WRC.

I only got like 6 of them.

They were marked down here about 2-3 months ago. Our stores have maybe 2 or 3 camaro kits left. Everything else was gone in the first 2 weeks.

Thanks, its Model Masters Italian Red over Tamiya fine white primer. It really does have some pop to it in the light. -

Thanks Daniel. I would love to trade with you again but my wife and I are buying our first house so every penny counts right now. Maybe in a few months we can get something going. -
Love the idea! I have seen a 308 tubbed out at the drag strip before. Looked very out of place!
-
Yep.......not happy! I had to use pencil lead to highlight the damage. At first i did not see the grill area. I bet they tossed a reject body in the box hoping i would be OK with it.

Best kit in the world! MPC Monkeemobile...........
jrherald420 replied to jrherald420's topic in Model Cars
Thanks guys. 8 days of this build was getting the front lower and rear lower valances to fit, lots of filling with CA and accelerator. The grill and headlight assembly took several hours of filling, sanding, fitting and more filling. The interior tub is a god awful fit. Had to use lots of styrene filler and lots of sanding to get it to sit as poorly as it does now. Best way to describe this build is lipstick on a pig!! lol -
NOT!!!!!!! lol I had wanted to build this kit for years but never wanted to spend the money on this silly car. Well our club's movie car challenge was extended for another month due to only 3 people getting something built. So with a whopping 3 weeks to build something i bought this thinking i could build something nice and quick.......what a mistake that was. The kit is pretty bad, lots of bad fitting parts and body parts being over 3/8 of an inch of even being close to not fitting! The chrome is thick and the mounting points are huge, just a really old mold with no repairs. Top notch stuff!! lol The tires are aftermarket ones from AMT/ Round 2, they are nice and were the exact same ones that came in the kit but no printing on the kit tires. Just paint, embossing powder for the carpet, some BMF and some scale magzines and a do not touch card on the blower, total build time was 2 1/2 weeks. Enough talk, time for crappy cell phone pictures!!!! 20140519_151022 by jrherald420, on Flickr 20140516_102539 by jrherald420, on Flickr 20140516_102746 by jrherald420, on Flickr 20140516_102827 by jrherald420, on Flickr

On my must build list!

Thats why i said mega huge. Big enough to produce more then they do only better quality, Tamiya and Meng quality with old MPC and AMT extra parts for 90s Revell prices.

Ahh that best "what if" question. I would pay off the bills, pay for my son's education, pay for the fertility treatments my wife needs to have another child, build the dream house, buy every foreclosure home in this area and renovate them and turn them into high quality rental homes to keep the cash flow coming in. For fun i would build a shop to restore 1:1 cars and my local model club would get a huge kick in the pants. Might just build a top notch convention center to hold the monthly meetings (and rent it out for extra income when the club is not using it) and the annual model show might just turn into something like 2 of them a year with cash prizes awarded. Now if it was a huge winning...............like mega huge..............i would start my own model company....100% USA made.....and put Revell out of business!! One can dream right??
