The tailights on this one are the GT units (with the slats) and right now I'm trying to figure out how best to paint the buggers. I've painted the body color, and I'll probably use silver on each (dang there's a lot od 'em) opening ad then add the proper colors to them (red, amber, etc.). I'm just working up the nerve to do it. As for the steering, I extended the upper spring cups with sheet plastic, turning them into A arms. I then made spindles from 't' shaped sections of sprus. These were drilled at each end with a #62 bit (as were the upper and lower arms) and everything was attached with pieces of straight pins.

Its either to keep the government from intercepting your thoughts, or its an antenna to pick up messages from the mothership. -
Here's another...

Dang, I'm really gonna have to find some obscure stuff to stump y'all

How 'bout this?

Here's where I'm at so far. The engine was a total mess, so it was disassembles as much as possible, the seams were cleaned up and then repainted with Testor's Aluminum Metalizer. After the sealer dried, I masked off the trans and intake and painted the block body color. The chrome pieces were cleaned up, primed and treated to some BMF. The body is (again) Duplicolor, and I should be throwing the clear on it this weekend.

Welcome , Echodawg. Nice crawlers (love the shotgun on the front seat). Don't be afraid to ask anything. I, myself, tend to ramble on about stuff at times, but if I can help, I'll throw my two bits in (inflation, you understand).

Nope. Another one from 'Home' by Procol Harum. Its called 'The Dead Man's Dream'. The arrangement is more typical of their stuff, with the piano and Hammond taking center stage. Seriously, if you like dark and morbid, this is a great set. They kinda remind of The Beatles with a serious death wish on this one. -
That really has the potential to be a kick-@$$ build. Maybe swap in the rear fender openings from a '57 Chevy to tie the front and rear together better. I like it.

Nice (and natural) conversion to create the Supreme Sweet build.

There's that old VW kit from Japan with Nazi markings (unless the Aryan Brotherhood demanded too much for royalties)...

Back to my old tricks....

Yeah, I should probably knock off the GT4 and Command and Conquer on my PS2, and Tornado Jockey and Spider Solitaire on the computer. Thankfully, though, things aren't as humid this week, so I'll probably paint this weekend. -

As I lay down dying, a floor for my bed And a bundle of newspaper under my head I dreamed a dream, as strange as could be Concerning myself, and somebody like me We were in some city, the stranger and me The houses were open, and the streets empty The windows were bare, and the pavements dirty I asked where I was; my companion ignored me We entered a graveyard and searched for a tombstone The graves were disturbed, and the coffins wide open And the corpses were rotten, yet each one was living Their eyes were alive with maggots crawling I cried out in fear, but my voice had left me My legs were deformed, yet I moved quite freely My head was on fire, yet my hands were icy And everywhere light, yet darkness engulfed me I managed to scream and woke from my slumber I thought of my dream and lay there and wondered Where had I been? What could it mean? It was dark in the deathroom as I slithered under -

Turn me on, dead man.... -
So I'm working on my '89 Mustang (I thought it was a '90 'til I looked at the box again...), got the paint on (Midnight blue mica over silver) and then I got sidetracked working on a '78 Elkie with a Corvette Grand Sport engine, Then, after getting bogged down trying to hinge the hood properly (dang hidden wipers & cowl- the back of the hood won't clear the base of the windshield), I dragged out my WIP Lindberg '97 Ford 4x4 with the box from AMT's snap 4x4 and started on that, and well- I'm up to my neck in projects again. I'll get some pics of the Mustang up in a day or two, along with the others. And I still have that '61 Ranchero staring at me, waiting for paint.....

Actually, its clowns to the left of me. Jerry Rafferty was the frontman (he later recorded 'Baker Street', a minor classic). My previous post was from 'Piggy Pig Pig' by Procol (man, I just love their stuff) from their 1970 album 'Home' (lousy cover, great music and Trower really came to the fore on this one). -

I'm sorry, but one is earmarked for a ragtop, and the other one is going to become a phantom Edsel Skyliner (that's gonna be my wintertime project). I bought both the Edsels at Dean's in Flushing, Mi. for $5 each (open but complete). Dean advertises in Model Cars- check out his site. -

Man, you shoulda seen 'em kicking Edgar Allen Poe.... -
Great job on the Y- body. I saw a couple at the 100th Anniversary GM bash last month, and fell in love with a '62 Tempest sedan. You know, if GM could come up with cars that rationally sized and good looking, Toyota would be trembling. Great resurrection, BTW.

Lookin' good- gotta love them Buicks!

Great job! I started something like that years ago, but it was never finished. BTW, you shoulda painted it white with some blood spots on the driver's door handle .
