everything that had to do with r.d. was 100% scratch. that was easy, the trailer was difficult due to the lack of pics. and info on it. it started its life hauling tar, and I found how long it really was . other then that it was based from grainy pics.

that's where I highjacked them from, truck manf. been using each others designs all along (most popular designs)so I went for it. hey, don't for get the snap button ,flower stitched cowboy shirt,oh almost forgot....the big feathered cowboy hat band..now where did I put that dang gumm mel tillis eight track tape??????? -
yes I did use the stock hood and by doing it like I did made it fit with no problems, what I forgot to mention was I made the ext. by getting the basic shape by warming in boiling water and bending around a bolt with the same curve. didn't worry about the length off the sides because they can be trimed. then glue as explained. all worked from one piece. sorry about that missing link......john

don't waste you money, I just done one, look at "revel 359 ext. hood" its pretty easy to do. figure out how long you want to go, glue a piece of sheet stock under the hood to the rear, then start on either side and glue and clamp. when that section has set then move up and around the top of the hood in the same fashion. for the molding and ribbing on the sides and top I used tiny square rod....it works .....john

Here's what I came up with . starting with the snap tractor and trailer, cut the sleeper off and build a new one,the trailer was the hardest thing to get reference on. I cut it down to a scale and went from there. Decals are from model truckin,. Comments are always welcome.....john

thanks guys! you seen the masking, well it didn't turn out the way I wanted it to BUT, I have activated the back up plan, this should work out even nicer. now on the shop, I had seen guys do shops before and this is something I had been working on in between things for a while, it just adds that story line aspect of the build cause you can keep changing your back ground. need to find people for it now. -

the single headlight is something you have to make yourself, the little deathrow single axle I built has singles. I just filled everything in and installed tubing for the buckets. that was my first attempt, turned out kind of rough but it worked. I've seen guys do on this fourm before and do it almost flawlessly. its just the matter of trial and error. this is why I choose to be on this fourm, these guys here are not afraid to let you in on their building secrets...............thanks john -

that should look nice, that's how I stretched the revel pete, one cut behind the sleeper and one behind the front springs, worked out really well, heres a pic of the 95 w900 I run...

nice flat top, with those colors "JT" will probably try to get you to lease on with his fleet! LOL, heres a thought, with the set up that you have going, that would make a really nice 'movin on' truck. -

since the last post I have installed the engine, run the exsuast ,and went with dual air intakes. the intakes were painted met. blue at first then followed with alcad 2 chrome and the end result turned out to be a steel bluish color. the tube from the turbo to the cleaners is an aluminum tube. mocked up the interior inside of the cab shell and it still seemed to set properly........thanks for lookin,,,,,john
