  1. OH MAN Johann! That rear suspension is beautiful!!
  2. Look into the NASCAR world of models. For many years NASCAR had the contract with Bassett wheel so many kits out there have them.
  3. Yep got it Mike, sent you one back....
  4. I agree Lawrence this kit is not great fitment wise but you really did a nice job on it!! Always loved the red with tan interior. Nice build!
  5. Great find and really nice build/fitment of the parts from your stash. This is something she can be proud of! My daughter loves it when we build together too. I cherish those times!
  6. When you are right Mike, you are RIGHT on! That looks perfect!! Your persistence is paying off!! Just love the look of the side shot.
  7. Beautiful build Mike! Love all the detail you put into it!!
  8. That is both funny and cool at the same time!!
  9. A lot of really nice details in this build! The blue in the headlights The cup with the straw in it The front aluminum canards The suspension ride height is right on ....just to name a few. Great job on the details that matter James!
  10. Come to find out there are apparently two model type events going on in Delavan on Saturday.....this one and one other build day. Sorry I was confused.
  11. We just gotta decide which Delavan......
  12. Boy you really had me going on that one Gary! I had just got out of work for the night so I was pretty tired. You could have probably sold me some land with an ocean view in Colorado.
  13. This must be what Kerry was talking about! What are they auctioning??
  14. Wow Gary! I did not know that they were going to have this car. This should be available by Jimmy prior to that. Thanks for the support!!
  15. I think you might be better off checking in your stash for a set that are like an oval outlet that you could run a pipe out of. Hmmmm didn't the VetteAgin have something like that? Just a thought. Or you could do the Nascar style squared off long side exit......?
  16. Ok, today's progress included: making the front grille area bigger at the top and blending it in (needs sanding yet but you get the idea) sanding and smoothing of the whole body (getting it ready for bondo which will be the next round of filling) got the front lower valance completed (shapewise needs a little fine tuning but the general idea is there.)
  17. You can PM me Mike. I would like to address as much as possible due to it going to resin soon. Thanks!
  18. Never even noticed that one Mike! Been so busy trying to shape the front out of what I had to work with I did not stop to look at the small details yet......darn it.
  19. No problem Kerry, I appreciate the ideas. Thanks! Thanks Johann!
  20. Today's update: Front end nearing final shape.
  21. New front end progress (What a pain to build this.......a lot of different angles in here!)
  22. VERY nice for a first build Alex! Don't be too hard on yourself about the taillights, it is a small issue that is not too noticeable in your pics. A lot of the Fujimi kits are curbsides. They don't have engine detail or a lot of parts but you could look for the Enthusiast series by Fujimi......they are full detail with a LOT of parts. Thanks for showing your build!
  23. Did someone say pics? This weekend's progress was mostly mockups for the chassis/interior portion of the build. The plus was I made a new firewall out of the Enzo firewall that strengthened the body immensely and will be "one" with the body when it is casted in resin. Here are a few pics of updates:
  24. Great execution on this so far Bill. I can attest to how hard it is to make that chassis fit the old Vette body. The newer vettes are much wider and longer. You made it look easy Bill!
