  1. I see I'm not the only one who has been busy! Lol! I truly look forward to seeing what you will come up with next and You never disappoint. A Great looking Charger! Chuck
  2. What can I say?......I like Chargers and Chargin Charlie Glotzbach exemplifies the best of them. This 72 Charger replicates the 72 Daytona 500 ride where he placed 2nd two laps down to A.J. Foyt's Woods Bros. Mercury Cyclone. Some of Charlie's best career was with Cotton Owens, placing 2nd in the 69 Daytona previously. 4 wins, 50 top tens and 12 Poles out of 124 races to his credit while mainly driving Mopar. Buddy Arrington's #67 1974 Nascar Season ride when restrictor plates all but choke out the big Cubic Inch behemoths, Chaotic rule changes up to mid season and the country's gas tanks were still tender from rising gas prices of the 73 Oil embargo. After all said and done, Buddy placed 30th in the points. When time permits, Race track photos are coming.....
  3. Great looking build! Always thought Elliott and Marlin Intrepids were the best looking of the Dodge field. Looks a lot like my build...hmmm...let me check my shelf......
  4. Please contact/PM me at your convenience.....Chuck
  5. Do you have any Pengwenn Decals of Tom Pistone #59 ....Pistone64blu and Pistone64stripe?

  6. Take a corrugated cardboard (wavy reinforcement) box, cut the side off and soak it in water till you can peel each outer layer off exposing the wavy part. Set that off to the side to dry out, then cut 2 ribs into strips then paint. Several coats may be needed since the cardboard will soak up the paint. Use wooden dowels ( to simulate the post) nailed/glued to a wood strip ( for a base) and then hot glue the painted "guard rails" to the dowels. Then you have a guard rail section
  7. Posting this for a dear friend of mine for whom I've always admired his work. My only complaint (Envy) with him is that he builds them so darn fast I can't get the plastic wrapping off the box before he's on to the next one! A big Harry Gant fan from the old school of Nascar Winston Cup.
  8. Another "big" driver of the Nascar circuit. A fearless independent with no major sponsorship, Joe struggled at the the Grand National/Winston Cup level but was more competitive on the lower tiers of Racing. Ace Decals, Testor's Gloss Red and Dark Blue ....
  9. It does take a big man to wear pink, Panther Pink that is. When Chrysler wanted all their High Impact Colors to be represented, no one was a taker for Panther Pink. John said if they would give him the paint he would.....well it's easy to figure it out from here. Tom Mooty's Ol'Days decal are spot on and bring the paint to life. Tom is prompt with the order, correspondence was a ease and make a great product! The JRS kit is straight OOB and still is a fun kit to build. It makes a great addition to anyone's collection...
  10. Known as the Clown Prince of Racing, Cerry Ezra "Jabe " Thomas was a well known prankster of slipping chicken bones into the pockets of unsuspecting rivals before races. Most of his 13 year (1965 - 1978) Nascar run was sponsored by Star City Body Shop cwner Don Robinson while operating his own Gulf gas station in Christiansburg, VA. Jabe placed 77 top 10's in 322 starts. He never lead a lap nor won a Nascar event. Penngwenn and kit mixture of decals with the kylon shortcuts Gloss Tangerine and Sun Yellow
  11. Salvinos 73 Charger kit OOB with Ace Decals. Always glad to see a great driver in a Mopar!
  12. The #99, #12 and the white #11 are AMT. The #04 and flouresent Baker #11 are Polar Lights and the #67 and #8 are JRS....
  13. Owned a 72 Gran Torino coupe with a 351 2V Cleveland...not only could I keep gas in it when switch to 4 barrel carb ( Heavy footinitus) but those God awful heavy hubcaps would take a different course when turning hard. One night on the way to pick up another cruising buddy, a little to fast taking a corner and off takes my left frt hubcap. Like a rogue circular missile, it launches off the curb airborne to land in front of some front porch step, right up that inclined obstacle and whammi lammed the front porch screen door. By the time I reached and planted my foot on the porch to collect my rogue hubcap, the porch light comes on and door swings opens..... Don't remember exactly what was said or hollered or if it was male or female that came to the door. By that time I was halfway back to an open car door with a running engine. I don't even think my feet left imprints in his front yard but did leave a single black streak that faded away after 20 feet... Still giggle to myself when I think about it....oh! Nice build of a great car!
  14. You got four "Sponsored" rides in it...lol!
  15. Recently discovered pictures...
  16. Another complete Oob. Testers #1203 Gloss Red with Powerslide#344 decals.
  17. JR Salvinos 73 Charger OOB with a combination of JRS and Dave Vann (Penngwen...special Thanks to a world class guy!)decals. Testers Bright Blue on top,
  18. Lol! Just noticed that the body shop sprayed over the rear trunk lid letters...well quess I need to take her back and have a talk with the body shop painter...smh!
  19. As I stated in the Truck Section, haven't posted in quite awhile but I have been busy....these were just some slump busting fun that I dug around in the parts box...
  20. Actually owned the exact truck when I first got married back in 83....1983! 307 Cid with a 3 speed on the column and a single Thrush muffler
  21. last pic was going to be the original finished version but decided on a more standard look..
