  1. Very nice car and pictures.
  2. Why does that not surprise me?
  3. Sweet bunch of American iron you got there.

    Tamiya RX-7

More or less finished. Have to put outside mirrors on, decide if I want to put on rear spoiler, and what plates I want to use; jap, Cali, or Mazda. Only issue is with hood. Not sure if its warped slightly. Sanded corners to make sure paint wasn't causing it to stick; obviously not the cause. For such a low parts count kit, I think it puts together well. No flash and fits so well except for hood.
  7. I fiddled with front end. Found engine bay was not sitting on pins so I enlarged holes and it sits "better". Now the hood doesn't close and front fascia wont sit all the way against fenders.. Plastic wins; I'm tired of taking this thing apart. I think they all look like they sit up in the front due to front wheel opening higher than rear one. I've seen two others posted and they both look that way; and one even has the hood issue. It ain't Tamiya fit and finish. On to the pictures. Sorry about the hood support, I lost the rod that came with car.
  8. 510 and F150 I like! eBay haul this week. All are supposed to be complete. Alfa has a bent drivers side A pillar. Will have to find a way to straighten.
  9. Sweet Vette! Can I drive?
  10. This is going to be cool! Will be watching your progress.
  11. One of these? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Hasegawa-20259-Porsche-968-1-24-scale-kit-Limited-Edition-/331021313679?pt=Model_Kit_US&hash=item4d1268668f
  12. Nice save!
  13. I like the color and the mods you did! Paging Martinfan5 to the white courtesy phone
  14. Wheels are on the way. Should be there Tuesday if Postal Service estimates are correct.
  15. Looks great! Kind of hard to tell from pics about grill, so I am going to say with it. Looks like tires are on backwards based on tread.
  16. That's one good power to weight ratio! Assume turbo motor? Slicks or "treaded" tires. Looking forward to your continued progress
  17. I love it!! Simple clean build.
  18. Minor update on this. Sprayed another coat of clear and body now looks shiny. Don't think I'm going to try to wax it. Painted front signals, maker lights and black trim. Taillights detailed. Hard as BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH to stay on raised portion between lens. Now I can see how badly I missed with 3rd brake light decal; oh well. Interior, engine bay, and chassis are done. Not sure why directions said to leave area on rear deck a lighter color. I wonder if that is wear targa is stored?
  19. Nice work so far! What about getting a resin t-bolt teardrop hood? Although looking ant what you've done so far, I imagine making something will be a breeze for you.
  20. To heck with the model, I want to know more about the real car!
  21. Clean and simple, I like it a lot.
  22. I don't think its a flaw. I think I put too much pressure on it when sanding. More than likely it will be stock. My skills are not good enough to customize yet.
  23. Wheels are a little big but looks good. Are you going to leave them bronze or paint them another color? Have you thought about trimming the mounting area back so they go under the fenders? I really want to compliment you on your work! This and your other models look great!
  24. Duplicolor GM Dark Blue Metallic, BGM0393.
