  1. Looking forward to more of your builds.
  2. Last set of pics with 89 thrown in. Surprised how much shorter it is compared to the 70 bodies. Would think they would have been exactly the same length. I have a couple more of these to build in the future. There are a few more pics in the workbench section. Comments welcomed.
  3. More pics of the Mach 1 this time.
  4. Revell 70 Mustangs. Street Machines Boss 429 and Mach 1 Special Edition. Both built more or less box stock. Used VHT Grabber Green and Testors Grabber Blue.
  5. Updates for Mach !. Revel puts a lot of parts in this kit. Two complete interiors. Two sets of wheels and tires. Two complete engines. Two sets of decals for Mach 1 or Boss 302. Different grills and upper radiators. Lots of extra parts for your stash if you are in to this generation Mustang. Front and rear fascias. I tried to lightly use a yellow sharpie on grill lights while using orange on lights below bumper. Didn't think they should stay chrome and didn't think silver would look right. Was going to make section between tail lights a flat metallic gray. On actual car, that area doesn't appear black nor gray. Ended up painting it black. Did use the same gray on lower bodyside cladding; welcome your opinions on that. Still need to attempt touch up on front grill; still too much chrome above headlights. Two piece hood decals were not as bad as I thought to line up. Was unable to get wrinkles out of them, even using the warm paper towel method. May have to invest in decal solvent. Hood scoop got some glue on it while trying to install. Can see the chrome better on grill in this picture. As stated earlier, painted area between tail lights black. Need to fix silver strip at top. My silver paint pen must be slightly clogged. More or less done. Still need to install rear wing, misplaced uprights after I painted them. Also need to put on Mustang script decals on front fenders. Thanks for looking and following my builds. Comments are always welcomed. Will be under glass shortly.
  6. Updates on both cars. Boss 429 is more or less done. Mach 1 needs some trim touch up. Camera shows a lot more mistakes than my 47 year old eyes can see. I still need to work on my painting. There are 2 or 3 coats of Future on bodies. Front and rear fascias of Boss. No battery on 429, its in trunk. After installing decals, realized I should have used white instead of black. This is done. Will post pics in under glass. Next up, Mach 1
  7. #2. There is nothing better than modern mechanicals. Moreso if you want it to turn left and right vs. going straight an 1/8-1/4 mile at a time.
  8. Cedric, I see nothing wrong with your skills on original car! Will look forward to progress.
  9. Full black interior is decal. White/black interior is Model Masters acrylic "leather". Hope that helps.
  10. You get no argument from me on that point. Box pictures look good, but as I said in prior post, old battery powered kit. Will get this finished and either a Trans Am Camaro/Mustang or Porsche GT1 up next.
  11. Great looking trucks! You definitely have great modeling skills!
  12. This may sound corny, but thank you all for compliments and confidence boosts! Yes, the 69-70 Mustangs are my dream years! Have always wanted a Grabber Blue 69 fastback/sports roof; shaker hood scoop, spoilers, and sports slats/louvers. Since I painted my on 69 kit black, this 70 will have to do. Hope to have some updates and maybe under glass later today.
  13. I have one similar to that. Will be intently watching.
  14. Revell Boss 429 and Mach1 Mustangs. Boss painted VHT Grabber Green with white interior. Mach 1 painted Testors Grabber Blue with black interior. Building box stock since skills aren't good enough to modify them. Bodies and window trim painted. Engines in chassis. That Boss 9 is HUGE, lol. White and black interior. "wood" trim painted MM leather. Black interior. Painted gloss black with satin clear. Wood decals from kit.
  15. Next car on list, Aoshima RX7 Daytona 24 Hrs. Based on battery powered chassis so not much detail. Nice looking body. Have painted window trim and interior black. Started to add decals. Got to figure out if headlights are going to raise up or not. If they do raise and lower, then I've got to figure out cutting decals for them. On to the pictures one of theses days. Stupid photobucket isn't working correctly. Will post pics when I get it working.
  16. Neat. What wheels are those?
  17. That looks sweet Jonathan.
  18. They look great! Where do you display/store these giants?
  19. That looks really good!
  20. LHS=Local Hobby Shop. I've bought 96% of my kits from eBay. My supplies come from one of the chain hobby stores, which is about a 40 minute drive.
  21. I hope you enjoy it! Sleep in.
  22. One Italian, one American, and one Japanese car.
