I have a chance to buy this kit..... ...for really cheap.. If heard good things, and I have heard bad things. If anyone has built this kit or seen one built, let me know what you think, as I don't want to spend my money on a junk kit. I plan on painting it Red, Green (if I can find the right shade) or light blue.

Got so,e more work done on the GMC wrecker. got the body painted ford blue, and the decals on. The the paint started cracking. I'd normally sand it or strip it and start over but the decals make this truck. If anyone has the complete decal sheet they would be willing to donate, please let me know! If not ill just touch up what I can and clear it, and make the best of it. Pictures should be up tomorra. Meanwhile on the impala, the stance has been finalized, an I like it! I just need some meats for the rear. Now if the weather would just cooperate,I could get the paint on it..

Wow.. What a cool lookin box.. I would leave untouched until I perfected my model building.. I'm more of a painter then a builder. Again, what a beautiful car.

Starting on the big models.

Thanks guys! I really want to get one of those 1:12 69 camaros.. Any idea where? -
Hi guys, I'm looking to get into larger models, and can't afford the 600 dollar kits... Any ideas where to start? Kind of a spoon feeding type question... But I now literally nothing about larger models..

Wow! Absolutely amazing paint work! Everything looks so real. What kit is this? The only 1:12 model I've ever seen for sale anywhere is the Shelby gt500 from revell... Well and the outrageously expensive ferraris and such that sell for 600 plus.. But they don't count in my book.

Thanks! I really enjoy doing body work and seeing the final product.. I just have trouble with models because everything is so small!! And when I got the tractor , it didnt run, so I cut everything off that didnt make it go fast..(6 whopping miles per hour) and it turned out the mower deck was froze up, and the engine didnt have the power to unfreeze it so it wouldn't start.. Now I've done some basic maintenance to it, and the pulley swap, so I guess you could say I'm like that Tim Allen guy! -

Thanks guys! -
First off sorry for the grainy pictures, the ipad camera is terrible... Frame, floor and exhaust test fit in the impala Engine in the viper Black needs another coat, along with red, polish, and clear coat. Gmc wrecker, just needs paint on the body Weathered the guard and the underside a little to pull some detail out of this simplistic kit.

It's possible that's an aftermarket, or custom job. And that's a very uncommon car, a gtx, so I would try one of the diehard mopar forums. Edit: after looking around online, the only two hood options I've seen, excluding custom jobs, were the air grabber hood scoop style your referring to, and the side vents. No flat hoods as pictured, sorry..

Nope, just some 22 inch ATV tires in the back... Front ones off an old Honda rincon I think, and some type of aggressive tire and the original rear rims, are on the front. It's also got 7 inch pulleys front and rear... So it does about 15mph and the transaxles locked into a posi. -

Thanks! And yeah I didn't really want to put em on in the first place but I'm a die hard mopar guy so I couldn't help myself..I'm actually amazed how smooth I got them! No Microsol or Microset or micro- whatever was used. Just a paintbrush with water. -

Thanks! Doctor Crankies videos were a TON of help. I watch usually 10 to 12 videos, and do a ton of reading articles and such for something I've never done before before I attempt it, which really helps. Plus I've been doing spray painting for years, starting with nerf guns, then into street art type deals, (not graffiti), then moving into models and 1:1 scale. -

Thanks! And yes to both on the mist coats and primer. I used a 2 coats duplicolor adhesion promoter, then a LIGHT fog of duplicolor primer, through the gun. Ten let it sit for a night. Then I misted the silver for about 3 coats. Then built it up with one wet coat, let it cure overnight. The next day I taped off the stripe, and sprayed the candy like normal. It etched a little in on spot on the roof when I sprayed the clear really wet, but It's very very small. And I have a close friend that owns the body shop where I'm apprenticing, and he told me the same thing with the plastic etching.. Thanks for lookin! -

Thanks! I'll have a gmc wrecker, box stock, out in a few days, weather permitting, and a 64 impala box stock except for paint, in about a week or so. -
