Got some more done on this.
Originally wasnt gonna weather this, but then I thought what the hell...
I ve got a great start on the rear suspension.
Made bag mounts, and started making links ...
I almost forgot about this one...
This one was started back in 2008 but sat without the hood being done for over two years.
Back in January 2011 I finished the hood and then stopped when I got sick. I got this shipped back to me from my old place in Cali last year, so one day I will eventually finish it.
Started this one recently and decided to make the side trim for it. Tis is the 76 Stepside kit. I'm building it as a project in progress build minus the bed. So far I've notched the rear and filled the sunroof in. Not sure where the rims came from, but they were painted aluminum and were chipped, so I painted them black.
Thanks guys... I'm not familiar with mechanics of Veedubs... Actually not very mechanic savvy when it comes to engines in general. Still learning things, and limited parts that I have in the stash. So I just use what I can.
Here is another one that kinda got stalled out after I had a brain fart and couldn't figure out how to get the interior tub to fit since I molded the fenders and body as one...
And this one I need to find an interior tub, and grill so I can get back on it
Thanks. I'll get some pics under glass here in a bit.
I screwed up the front bonnet, so I had a spare and in a last minute effort, painted it, but it's a bit off from the body color, so it makes it look a bit two toned .
Ten years is a bit of a stretch for a lot of folks. I've got projects that are at the most, 4 years old... But that's it. I'd love to share some of those...
Thanks alot...
Gettin started on the engine. As much as I love Bugs, mechanics is where I am lost on these suckers.
Not totally sure on paint color for the parts, so I kinda just did guess work here.
Thanks for looking...
