  1. nice! lets see some more!
  2. More updates. The engine is turning out just as planned. Hopefully I wont have fitment issues later. I decided to not go with a back seat and try to simulate a fabricated aluminum interior as the kit comes with. I wanted to be different so I painted the center console to match, it was originally chrome and just like others I usually use my chrome pieces as is. The dash and gauges could have turned out better but there's no turning back now! Not really wanting to use the steering wheel the kit comes with but I dont really have much of a choice. Ill probably end up using it. It will be black and matching body color The other I had picked out is just way too small
  3. Idk what to paint the starter on this car. I thought about the little half black and the rest silver? I cant find pictures of this starter
  4. Ill honestly prob build another. I'd like to make a dark silver one blacked out with the 396 out of the revell chevelle pro street. Detailing today so little updates. The oil filter was painted and the pulleys have been detailed. Original choice on filter but the pulleys, well.. I know it doesn't make sense but I couldn't find any pictures so I just went with it and hoped for an anodized look. Too late now, no turning back
  5. awesome! very track ready! I like how you didnt use the back seat
  6. very cool. That color looks brilliant!
  7. WAS PAINTING MY HEADS ALUMINUM A BAD IDEA?
  8. This looks and was ridiculous. I spent a good 30-45 masking. Having troubles what color to paint the transmission crossmember. Thinking black instead of matching it afraid it will be too much color. also, idk what color to paint the struts, springs, rear end, leaf springs all that
  9. thanks, didnt think about getting rid of the logos ill remember that. That chassis is gonna be a pain masking off and idk how im gonna prep it
  10. thats awsome! I like the te37's the 240 has
  11. love those wheels and tires
  12. Ill have to experiment with some black wash. Thanks! Ill prob try it on something else before doing it to this one
  13. I just went ahead and started a new topic in On the Workbench. Check my nova out guys!
  14. I looks real dull in all 3 of these pics but it really does look nice. No primer, lazy. There are a few scratches where I got a lil too rough with a scuff pad. Lesson learned. Just realized ill have to spray the underside some more or itll be seen from under the front wheel arches, another lesson. Ill have to paint the door handles, trim and such later. Nervous about that, its usually when I manage ruin everything
  15. used Rustoleum aluminium on the chassis. It started spitting and didnt wanna lay down too good after the 2nd coat so I hoped for the best and hosed it down! Note how the gm logo is disappearing. No turning back now! I wanna paint the chassis the matching color of the body, maybe it'll trick the eye away from the now mess of a chassis. I can mask it off but what sections should I paint? Obviously the front rails and the two running alongside the floors drivetrain mold, but the one running across the car in front of the rear tires?
  16. The headers turned out great. I used Duplicolor stainless steel (but modified). I turned the can upside down when spraying so it would only shoot out the metallic and no clear. Its a bit goddy under sunlight but it looks great, real dull, metal looking
  17. Done with the motor for a little bit. Im having to take some extra time. I've masked off the oil filter from the oil pan which was painted aluminium. The instructions call for black or matching body color but most cars ive seen at the strip have a white wix so.. Also, the bottom pulley here the crank, Should I paint it to match the body color or maybe do some blue and red anodized accents? Got lucky with this pic
  18. Ordered this kit on monday it got here saturday. Hasn't been too bad, theres a few nicks and burrs you gotta you gotta knock off with a razor after taking them off the tree but I actually had pretty good luck. I really wanted the engine to look nice but do different. Ive seen alot of hugger and red and dont get me wrong I like them both but I decided to match the body color like some pro streets youd see at a show. Its Duplicolor BGM0539 replaces T155. I still dont know what im gonna do but im sure its gonna be pretty basic. This is my fist drag car so I dont have any spares for it. Might get a fancy steering wheel or something
