I have not built this or started it yet, but I wanted to show you guys. I am waiting until my skills improve to do this one because I have big plans for it.
The kit. As far as I know, Revell has repackaged the AM Grand Sport kit. It includes a little photo etch, but not enough for me.
Here's the new kit
goodies
This is what you get in the kit: WARNING: Beware of Ebay sellers selling this kit for below list price, they do NOT give you the PE parts. Only buy sealed kits that specifically say "with phot etch" or buy from your LHS
This is the insane Model Car Garage kit. It includes a resin tranny that has the molded in linkage removed, and a resin cooler. There are PE chassis brackets as well.
I got me some purty Weber stacks and some joints I was hoping to use as fuel connectors but they may be too big.
My other pictures aren't loading right now, so when I get it figured out I'll post the rest of the pics.

Some more header pics

Here's another engine shot that shows the hose clamps on the intercooler hoses
and some more parts added to the engine.
I'll get some more pics tonight. The chassis has been covered with carbon and cleared with a dull coat. Oil lines added, engine installed and other parts.

Pedals. These were a pain. I glued on the photo etch pieces, then drilled out each hole through the plastic. Then the photo etch faces fell off, then the plastic broke apart from all the holes and it had a hard time lining all the holes up again .The pedals gave me more trouble than everything...except the body..which has been painted and stripped 3 times.

Brakes
Wheel nuts are part of the Tamiya (Monet Shell) kit painted with MM Metalizers
Basic engine parts detailed, washed and dry brushed
exhaust detailed
A little overboard with the weathering, but if I had an F40 I'd drive that mother into the ground

I started this a while ago and abandoned it about a year ago because I just flat out suck at painting bodies. I'm getting better and forcing myself to practice with my new airbrush and I hope posting this will get me a bit motivated to finish. I have a lot of time invested in this and I'll be damned if me being lazy will ruin it.
Nothing too crazy. I am using Tamiya and Scale Motorsport photo etch kits. Lot's of good stuff, including polished metal exhaust tips.
Here it is next to the Fujimi 1/16
Getting started
Getting ready for Alclad
Alclad done. Too bad the real thing doesn't look like this because I kind of wanted to leave it alone.

I have some more header pics, I'll have to find them
Next up should be a painted body.

I started this a while ago. I had some painting issues, so the body is in a tub of brake fluid right now. I started with the engine. I was going to do a flathead, but I am saving that for the 49 Ford.
I robbed the engine from a BOSS 429, then robbed the headers from my Tony Foti Camaro (I have since received replacements)
The result is a 32 Ford Street Bruiser with headers that barely clear the ground.
I had to relocate the tranny mount, and these wheels/tires are for mockup. I think I will be using the wheels and tires from the Chevy Badman kit.
The headers were tricky. To get them painted the way I wanted, I had to paint each half, weather it, then glue the halves together, isolate the collectors, sand the seams, paint and weather the collectors and blend them in. They aren't perfect, but I'll take it.
had to move this
to stuff this bad boy in

Xbox: Hemi Killer
Forza4 and COD. Hopefully soon to be GTAV and Battlefield 4

The fact that this has 3 pages is retarded. Who cares? Getting defensive and arguing about something so petty is ridiculous.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to scratch paint my model bashed Mustang II street rod touring dragster.

#14. Vacuuming is the best way to find those small parts you dropped last week
#15. Super glue won't stick the PE parts together, but it'll glue your fingers together nicely. Or a towel to your hand.

I've collected some good photos of the Motorcraft IMSA Mustang. Not my photos, just collected from Google and such after hours and hours. If anyone's interested I'll take the time to post them
Tamiya Ferrari F-40 Competizione
in WIP: Model Cars

As much misery as I've had with my paint job I am considering a single color, but I have a 1/16 Competizione that I have tracked own a photo etch kit for, so I may do the Monte Shell on this one and do the generic version on the larger one.
