  1. Thanks Joe........I just didn't want to break any rules :-)
  2. I just received my re-issue of the AMT 1970 Baldwin Motion 1970 Camaro, and also got the great photo-etching set. I have been wanting to build this since the re-issue.
  3. Double post. Admin: Please delete. Thank you :-)
  4. If it's not too late to drop a compliment, I would like to add how clean and uncluttered the build is. It is a classic pickup body, but has a streamlined appearence, like it would do very well in a wind tunnel to test for drag. Love them LT1 motors. Here is a pic of my stroker LT1 after the LS7 coil pack conversion last summer.
  5. Please excuse the dumb question, but can we build a car for this project? Thanks in advance :-)
  6. Manny, I have seen your masterpieces, and I am a big fan, but please do not make this '35 part of your bone yard!!! LOL
  7. This one is great, but very hard to photograph. Buy it now, they only made 2500 of them. this is sure to sell fast.
  8. @Charlie. I only spent a few years in Marlborough. Mom moved us to Waltham, and finished up highschool in 1985, and promptly went in the Marine Corps. Then after 4 years in the Marines, I moved to Brockton, and pretty much been here since. I would L-O-V-E to join you guys on your Wednesday meetings, but I work on Wednesday nights 2nd shift, and I know exactly where that is, thanks for the info. Maybe I can switch nights with somebody and join you guys. I am a AAA roadside tech. My job title is actually called "On the Go" tech. I am the guy they call if there is any chance of getting the car started to avoid a tow. I was about 20 years as a dealership tech, so as much as I enjoyed that, I like my job now so much more. My days off are Thursdays, so I go to the big car cruise every Thursday night at the Raynham dog track, and at Patriots place in Foxboro. I'll PM you if I can make it sometime. Thanks Charlie. I will be posting pics of the new Danbury Mint '35 Ford, so watch for that thread. Teaser pics.................
  9. Thanks Doug and Charlie for the info. Anybody else build one of these? With pics?
  10. Thanks Guys. I knew there were some Packard fans here. @Charlie. It's funny you ask, because I go to it every year, and I knew it was coming up, so I checked the date, and I was a day late. I will make it next year, with a model in hand. I am building an AMT '70 Baldwin Motion Camaro for the contest. I have the model, and just got the photo-etching detail set today. Oh, BTW. I was born in Marlborough. Do you still live there?
  11. Nice. Is this a 1/25 kit that you put together? If so, I am looking for one, and if so, who makes it? Thanks in advance..... I have the 1/43 Neo resin model.
  12. These are 1/43 scale resin. They are all priced at about $100. They are very nice. From left to right. Esval limo, Automodello Twelve, Neo wagon, Spark's Stalin limo
  13. I also have both of the DM '56 Buicks, and the '36 Packard. The Packard is one of the most overlooked, and underappreciated DM models, IMHO of course.
  14. Like I said in another post, this is where Danbury Mint shines..... Sorry about the blurred images, some were taken with my old camera. I need to retake all of these with my new one.
  15. Nice pics gentlemen. I have been buying up all the Planet Toys vans on ebay. If you are not familiar with these, they are diecast 1/24 scale, and the front doors open on high tech hinges, not dogleg. The sliding side door opens smoothly, and the back barn doors also are high tech hinged. These are fantastic vans once you gut the horrible interior. They sold at walmart for about $12, but are now long gone disco'd. They are now hard to find, but sometimes pop up on ebay for 3X the original price. The paint is really great. I took a 1320 Flopper chassis and plopped a second generation Planet Toys body over it. Not bad for about 15 minutes of goofing around, huh? I owned a '74 panel with a hot-rodded 351, with a big cam, and side pipes, with the widest tires that would fit under it. I don't have a pic, sorry. I would love to own another just like the one I had. IXO also made 3 different colored ones in resin 1/43. They did a great job on the front grill.
  16. Welcome Jason. I am sure there is no shortage of second gen Charger fans here. Especially for the '68's, which is my fave also. Do you have any Danbury Mint Chargers? I have most of them, including the Plum Crazy 1970 R/T, and the 1968 licensed Bullitt car, both are just top notch.
  17. I don't see much wrong with this. This is where Danbury Shines!!! Funny thing is I found this pick of a 1:1 dual spark Hemi right on this site. Awesome!!!
  18. I don't know the rules about ressurecting old threads, so please beat me with a wet noodle if I am breaking any rules, but I just want to ask Bob if he finished this one. I am a big fan of early second gen Camaro's and Motion cars. This thread motivated me to buy the re-issue kit, and the photo-etch detail set made just for the motion car on ebay today.
  19. Great Job!!! I am a big fan of the altered cars, especially the ones with the stacks sticking out of the hood. The truck really completes the package. Thanks for sharing.
  20. Hi Charlie. I just joined today, and just checking around the place and saw you live in Marlboro, Ma...hell, I was born there. I live in Brockton now. I collect Danbury Mint 1/24 and Neo 1/43, and have many models I have to build. Hope tp see ya around this place.

  21. It's funny you say that. Ford has commisioned a company to produce the 1940 Ford coupe, to exact spec's with upgraded drive train ( is the new 500 bwhp 5.0 litre good enough?) And obviously 4 wheel disc brakes, and all sorts of New age hi technology, no flatheads for this one, unless you want one. I think Dynacorn(?) is builing them for Ford. They are the same company making the first gen Camaro and Challengers. Check out the link here... http://www.worldcarfans.com/112102649845/ford-brings-back-1940-coupe-available-for-order-video Beautiful build by the way, looks just as good, if not better than my Danbury Mint '39.
