2007 Trans Am.... WIP with pics. Update 2-7
Custom Hearse replied to Custom Hearse's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Thanks Mark! I'm gonna go with the t-tops. The car was a hard top to begin with, and I went nuts with a x-acto knife! The t-tops will have glass installed into them, and I'll add sheet plastic to hold them up. The car will be painted black, with the gold bird and stripes! Kind of a special edition car. Glad you like it, and I'll have another installment soon! -

Thanks Guy's! It's gonna be in the 50's tommorow, so I'm gonna try to get it painted. If the tests on the spare body work out, I'm gonna paint it up! -
Here's something I've been working on for awhile. I've been waiting for the weather to warm up(I live in an apartment building, so I have to do all my painting outside), so I can do more work on it..... I started by cutting up two MPC '78 Corvette bodies(no pun intended)up, and putting them together.... Then I scratchbuilt the roof with sheet plastic.... Then I added IMSA racing fenders, to give it a more sporty body(Still, no pun intended).... Then found a L88 hood for it.... I then cut out a backdoor for it.... Added sheet plastic to form the window, and added sheet plastic to the body(No.... Nevermind) to make a door frame.... Then puttied it and primered it.... I used some tape to mockup the door to get an idea of how it will look.... I then built, and detailed the engine.... Another view.... I bought some Model Master Ultra Violet Pearl lacquer paint, and plan to test it on a spare body, to see if it would look good on the hearse. Let me know what you think! And thanks for looking!

Thanks Harry! I'm glad to see you here. I've been getting more and more fed up with the politics where I was hanging out at. I wasn't sure how many I could post, so I did 3, then re-posted, then 3, so on and so forth. I've been here for quite a while, but plan on coming here more often. They believe in having fun in life around here! -
Hey Harry! I hate to tell you this, but I already posted a pic of yours here.... LOL!!!! Look under, " On the workbench" for "2007 Trans Am...." Thanks again!

I have to apologize myself.... I had no intention of sounding mad. Just not feeling well these last few days. Imagineer.... I'm from Orange County Ca. originally.... Believe me, I know that word! LOL!!!! I like seeing builds from anyone who does them, whether they are new at it, or old hands, I could never say anything bad about them.... I was once there myself. You seem to have had a great mentor! My mentor was the same way. She helped me with any question that I had, and even made me proud, when she took my dual Hemi firetruck, and put it in a case to display in her shop. Her husband was also a good friend to me, and hired me to build an airplane model for him. And I was only 9 years old at the time! LOL!!!! Anywho, I appreciate the response of the things that you learned when you were starting out!

I know it wasn't me.... But if you think it was me, you're going to have a tough time proving it! And by the way.... This ISN'T a modern custom, it's a phantom! -
Revell 2005 Corvette......Dial up Beware!!
Custom Hearse replied to MrObsessive's topic in Model Cars
Beautiful job Bill! I can't say anything bad about it.... We all have something that isn't perfect about us. Some are beginers, some can't get something straight on a kit no matter how hard they try, some can't type normal english.... You have earned the respect I'm giving you tonight! Awesome work! P.S. What is dial up? -

Hmmmm.... interesting. Buy a house, and then tear it down. For that kind of money, you could buy a REAL NICE HOUSE in Joplin. One catch though.... It gets a little twisted out here! -
Your welcome! It's been 35 years since she asked me that.... My how time flies. I'm big on photography myself. I started to learn about it in high school, taking pics for the yearbook. I loved that class! Thank you for your reply, that was exactly what I was wanting to know! Thank you also Daniel, and Darryl. I think I've found the meaning of life.... If you build it, make it real!

When I was a wee lad, I used to hang out at my LHS in San Clemente, Ca. The lady who owned it, once asked me a question that inspired my builds from that day on. I had taken a Tom Daniels fire truck, and added the the front 3/4's of a dragster frame to it. Then I built 2 Hemi engines and added them to it. I finished it, and then took it to the LHS to see what they thought. The first question she asked was "Will it work in real life?" Ever since then, I've strived to build my models to that question.... Will it work in real life? She was the one person who truly inspired my work!
