  1. After i do some fitting... i just realize why alot of people stop the building this kit... almost unbuildable...
  2. Skip many thanks for your information and explanation earlier i really appreciate it... here is some engine detail for references who need it.... this is what Skip said earlier the water tank reservoir position is just behind the air box the pic below shows what is missing on the kit..... the air filter.....
  3. Yeah still going for sure... its a bit delay because my wife just giving birth to my first baby... god bless us.... all things goes smoothly.... today i make some progress on sanding the front bumper and trimming the front grill i make some sanding on the bumper... to remove excess plastic
  4. Now you said it... i just realize i must create new clear windshield..., i think i will stay on stok... i found the chrome part on my kits on the rear windshield and the door window formed quite well.. so i will stick to the stock part...
  5. The paint finnish is superb.... excelent job
  6. thanks for viewing and comments...
  7. 1. totally agree with that... no wonder it looks strange.... i will definitely fix that.... just afraid of destroying the star... 2. yeah the chrome part is so lame... remaking it totally make sense... cutting styrene to form the window and windshield grill will be really challenging task... what do you think if bending the brass line to form the shape then a bit soldering work to eliminate the connecting part then paint it with alclad? will it work? instead of cutting the styrene....
  8. Killer.... really impressive work... i like it a lot specially on battery detailing and oil can wiring behind the radiator may i know where did you buy the detailing wire and those transparent one... do you have wiring guide on this model? because sometimes its getting dizzy to think where the wiring cord should go..
  9. Many thanks for the references...
  10. Its fantastic...... kinds of remid me with need for speed games.... the camaro i used to drift on pc
  11. I try to dry fit the bumper to make sure that nothing goes wrong and fit well...
  12. But when i am fitting the chrome part on the windhield... i found its really troublesome to put it in... And you can see the left door not 100% fit but its the best shot i can do.... but the right door is a bit better....
  13. I finnished on repairing the body sink mark and scratch... here it is
  14. I see.... never think about it.... thanks for the great info... so its like pre shade before attachment then repaint it to make it looks connect... and it will not miss the blind spot... many thanks...
  15. I see..... soits just the same putty i use on the body... its 2 parts.. when mix it will become yellowish.... but maybe the differences is the size of the particle itself... mine wont shrink too... i dont like tamiya putty... its better i cover the scratch using mr surfacer... works better than tamiya's one
  16. This is the shark fin on the fender... i am uncertain about somthing... is it work better if i glue it first then paint it or.. paint it separately then glue it?
  17. I see it seems like one part putty... many thanks fo the info
  18. What is bondo? Is it putty?
  19. I fix the fender gap.. i looks bumpy on the gap and sinking on the upper side.. so i sand it and put some putty on the sink mark this is some progress on repairing the sink mark i let it dry overnight.... so now... time to sand it down....
  20. its true indeed.... after i thinking awhile i come back to my sense... authentic build is the best for this beauty... and put full effort on painting and reshape the body... even it will not 100% fit well... the door part is the miserable part... i found the gap between the body and the trunk is a bit to far any idea how to fix this...?
  21. Haha... i think i dont want to paint it like original body colour... i thinking about painting 2 tone on this body.... i know this is not what original body have.. Thinking about flatt black at the roof and somthing like tan or white at the rest of body then the other chrome part i will rechrome it with alclad... what do you think? If i put chrome on the hood grill i think it will not match my intended colour... if i want to restore it just spray on alcald... haha.. so no big deal just want to try it.. will it please my eyes? Hahahaha if something goes wrong... strip it down... before i paint it black i strip down the chrome layer first then prime it, to make a perfect bond
  22. Here is what i get from spraying to the end part of penbrush.... and it takes quite long to air dry it... maybe it will dry faster when we heat it up abit with hair dryer but not too hot...
  23. I finish the primer coating to the body... with this i can easily inspect the defect part like sink mark or other deep scratch.. so time to fix it...
