Mizozuman2 replied to VW93's topic in WIP: Model Cars
That's gotta be the funniest, yet most genius thing I've seen on this forum yet. Haha That denture case made my day. Keep us updated on this. I'll be sure to keep checking in. -
Revell Customer Service
Mizozuman2 replied to Rick Schmidt's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I just became aware of this. I had a chrome tree from the '65 Chevy show up with "blotchy" chrome. It looked like a cheetah. LOL Wonder if they can help out with this. -
In person, this car does take on a futuristic form of the Supra. I'm a fan of both cars. I love how the Supra's body style hasn't faded. It's a couple decades since the Mk4 Supra came out, and you could fool me saying it was a matter of a few years old.

If that's not a mouth full of a car name, I don't know what is! LOL Great looking wheels too!

You wouldn't happen to mean an LT engine like say... from a '95 or '96 Corvette? I've got 3 of those kits laying around. I could probably get away with putting the extra LS7 I have in one of those C4 'Vette's.

I got bored, and since I'm on spring break for school... I have no means for bedtime. (Man, monday's gonna bite me in the butt! LOL) Anyways, here's what I've got going for this kit so far It's Semi-Gloss Tamiya, but it looks more like a Matte Black, or satin black in person. And their bright green. I haven't gotten to the fine detailing on the paint work yet, but once that's done, it'll look a bit nicer. I haven't began work on anything else yet, I just yanked the body out, cleaned it up real nice, prepped, and sprayed. I'm debating on whether or not to swap out the 350 with a 454 i have from another kit. What do you all think? More updates whenever I can. (I'm not too good on the updates, I like to get carried away with building sometimes. LOL)

No, I'm not talking about that diet. I'm talking about paint! How thin do you mix your paint? Usually, I stick to the rule of thumb on "2% milk", though sometimes, I like to have it thicker, or thinner. Depending on the "roundness" of the body.

It's a vehicle. I got it right, I win. Guys, we can all go home now. LOL

Build what makes you happy, not what everyone else builds. -
Very sorry for your loss Dan. That's gotta be absolutely devastating. Please do keep us updated on the build, that engine looks GREAT!

Anyone ever bought from this site?
Mizozuman2 replied to Mizozuman2's topic in Links to Aftermarket Suppliers
I was worried about the price on a few of the kits that have been dis continued for a while. One being a kit I had asked about in a previous thread, the '98 Firebird Ram Air. Anywhere that has them in stock, it runs from around 35 bucks, up to crazy prices like $100+ on Amazon. He's only asking $19.99. It's not as much of a price to pay as the others, so I might take my chances on it. -
http://www.westburymotorsports.com/index.php I came across a kit that I was looking for before, and it's been discontinued for a while. The kit sells for quite a bit more than what they're asking on their site. So, has anyone here purchased a kit from this website? If so, how was the experience? Thanks!

Well shoot!

Hey y'all. I was curious on if they made a model kit of the 98-02 Firebird with the "Ram Air" hood? Thanks!

Mizozuman2 replied to Mizozuman2's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I didn't know paint went bad. (Seriously, I didn't. not being sarcastic) How fast does paint go bad? I guess it'd be dependent on Humidity and temperature? -
What's the story behind your user name/avatar?
Mizozuman2 replied to JollySipper's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
If I had a penny for every time I heard that name... I would have enough to buy a new model kit. Haha It's a nice base. A lot of museums. I enjoy going there during the summer. -
Making a "Big" paint purchase
Mizozuman2 replied to Mizozuman2's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
The only reason why I buy in bulk is because I purchase everything offline from HobbyLinc. They charge shipping. so it's cheaper for me to just buy in bulk, rather than the $6.95 or more for shipping on a few jars of paint. My closest Hobby Lobby or Michael's is about 30 miles away. and my truck barely gets the better side of 10 MPG's on the highway. -
what color dominates your builds?
Mizozuman2 replied to tubbs's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Definitely Blue. -
So does that mean harry's next?

I've done fairly decent coats using an AB, but when I brush it on, is where I have the difficulty. -
A swift kick in the rear? LOL JK JK!!! How's about Skydime, since I missed it earlier.
